If you don't have the patience to chart, then try monitering your CM, and also your cervix itself. When you infertile, it will be down low easy to reach with a finger, and usually it kind of hard, like your nose feels, and usually you wont feel an opening. When your coming into ovulation, you will notice you mucus becoming more slimy feeling, and your cervix will rise up higher into your vagina, and be harder to reach, and it will start becoming softer. And if you can reach it enough, it will open up just a little, sometimes as big as the tip of your finger. Hope this will help you a little, if your interested in this type of monitering do some research on the net for it, there is a lot of information about it out there. Good luck - Emily

Yes, I did have symptoms many times that I thought were O. I would have cramps on one side; sometimes even thicker cm. The only reason I started charting back in February was because my cycles were so off, and the girls here suggested I try it since most OB/GYNs ask you to if you come in for fertility issues (by observing your charts, they can normally see exactly what the problem is). It wasn't until I started charting that I discovered that I wasn't O'ing. Sometimes I would still have some cramping on one side, and my cm would even be thicker and stetchier, but my temps showed that it wasn't ovulation. I never would've considered charting either, but once you start, it really isn't a big deal. It's just a matter of getting up at the same time each day and taking your temperature. Hope this helps! Aubrey;)
