To be or not to be.

I have been seeing my boyfriend for 4 months. When we first started dating, I told him I wasn't on birth control and we used other means of protection. After we were dating, I got on Seasonal birth control. The first month on Seasonal my face broke out like crazy, but I didn't get my period, which is one of the reasons I decided to get on seasonal since you are only supposed to have your period every three months. The second month, my face looked like I was a prepubesent teenager and I was spotting for like a week straight. I got mad and decided to stop taking seasonal. I didn't call my doctor to get another prescription right away, so I have to wait until I get my period so I can start taking birth control again. I told my boyfriend I stopped taking birth control so we would have to be careful.

Well I dont think we were that careful. I am not sure when to expect my period since I was on seasonal, but if I were going off my regular schedule. My period is late. Earlier this week I did have a clot when I went to the bathroom which I thought was my period starting, but nothing happened. Also, I have none of my usual PMS symptoms, no back pain, no breat tenderness. It kind of makes me scared, too scared to take a pregnancy test, too scared to tell my boyfriend, especially when he says he doesn't want kids.

Should I wait a little longer for my period, should I run out right now and get a pregnancy test?

Hi there, it sounds like your body is just adjusting to the switching from off to on to off of bcp. It can't hurt to take a pregnancy test, but you might want to wait a few more days and see if your period shows up. Good luck...hope everything turns out ok. Keep us posted.... :)
