As a long term user of depo, I'd have to say it seems highly unlikey you are pg. If you had continued to have periods while using depo then it might be likely but if you aren't even experiencing those, you most likey are not ovulating. Depo works by supressing ovulation and thinning your uterus lining. Even if ovulation had continued which is very rare (you would have periods if this occured in your case), the thinning of your uterine lining makes it highly unlikely for the egg to implant. Sometimes, particularly at the end of your 3 month cycle - when your next shot is due, it is common feel pg like symptoms like breast tenderness or cramping but this is in most cases just the result of your changing hormones and not pregnancy. It generally takes 3-9 months after your shot is due for your fertilty to return. In some cases more. I had my last depo shot last november and still am not ovulating on my own.

Hope this helps,

Well i still have spotting, I spotted from may 8th till may 14th. My DH came home on may 10th. So i have no idea whats going on, i've never felt like this before. And i have 3 friends that became pregnant during there first year of depo. Im going into the doc tomorrow to make my next appointment and im going to have them do a blood test.

Most women who use depo experience spotting, it's one of the most common side effects and this is different from experiencing an actual period. Only one in a hundred women actually conceive using depo so the number of women that you know that have become pregnant while using this birth control method reliably is really quite remarkable. I think you are smart to have your doctor check things out. A blood and/or urine test should straighten everything out for you.

Hope you get the result you are looking for.
