Im 32 weeks pregnant my due date is JAN 20, Im not 100 percent sure if this is my fiances baby? We split up for a while and during that time I was with my ex, once that was April 7-8, my fiance and I got back together mid april I found out i was pregnant in June. I had a period after the incident on the 7th, but i feel like it was a short one. Im having doubts only bacause sometimes doctors are wrong, and its only a 2 week difference? what do you think that chances are, please feel free to comment on what ever you may think.....Im desperate

You aren't actually pregnant for the first 2 weeks of pregnancy. Your due date is actually almost a month after what it would be if it were your ex's baby. If you got pregnant the 7 or 8th you would be due December 28th ish. They really don't make mistakes that are that big, a couple days maybe but if your ultrasounds showed you 3+ weeks further along they would have changed your dates. I don't think you have anything to worry about.

It all depends on whether your period was really a period or if it was implantation bleeding. Your doctor's due date estimation is partially based on the assumption that you really did have a period on April 7th. Your best guess will come when the baby is born. If you give birth in late December/very early January, that means that conception likely occurred sometime around April 7th. If you give birth in late January, that means that conception likely occurred sometime around April 28th. (This all, of course, assumes a full-term pregnancy) The good news is that the doctor probably also did some tests to determine the size of the baby when estimating how far along you are, so he/she is probably correct in their estimation. So if all goes as planned and you have your full-term Jan. 20th baby, I'd be reasonably assured that it's your fiance's child. At that point, count yourself very very lucky that you guys were split up at the time - if you both didn't consider yourselves a couple, there isn't really any point in hurting him by telling what you did during that time period. Get married and move on. BUT, if the day you give birth makes you suspect that he might not be the father, then you owe him the truth, an apology, and a DNA test.

Best of luck. You're in my prayers.

you must have had an ultrasound? if they gave you an accurate due date, you can use any pregancy calendar, and do it reverse, by due date to see when you likely concieved was.
The dating for an ultrasound isn't wrong by 2 weeks. it might be out by a couple of days, but that is all. Does your man, know that while you were apart you rendevoused with the ex?

good luck

Thank you, your post makes alot of sensce! Like you said as long as this baby is born toward the end of January I should be ok, Yeah I knew that they take the day i said was my first day of my period into consideration, but I did tell them that I was a little iffy about that cycle! Like you said they would most likely be able to catch a 2-3 week difference by the mn=easurments from the 18 week ultrasound! Thanks again it really helps being able to talk about!

well,
from your edd of jan 20 i would say you most likey concived on april 13. so from what you stated i would assume you were with your fiancee at the time you concived. to ease your mind a bit, it may help to ask your doctor if they can tell you when you may have concived. i hope that helps! good luck
