Hi! Here's my story... 23 hubbie 25. October is the first month we started trying after 4 years of being on IUD. Have one adorable, intelligent, magnicifent son age 5. I know exactly when I ovulated, tracked cervical mucus, even followed the shettles method (want a little girl!) My period is not due until 23rd of Oct. I was wondering how early any of you have taken home pregnancy tests and what the results where. I have read that there are some HPT out there that detect pregnancy as early as 8 days. Could this be true???? Have any of you out there gotten pregnant from the first month trying???Anyone with an IUD have difficult trying?I really really want to be pregnant so we can have a July baby! I think I will try to take a HPT on Friday for the first time (I ovulated the 9th). Any feedback will be helpful as I am going crazy waiting!!!!!

Well its going to make a difference what kind of IUD you had. If it was copper I think you go right back to normal after its removed. If it was a hormone one it will take a bit most likely, and may not get pregnant right away. Testing early is up to you. You can test early, but most likely may not get the right answer. If you happen to get a positive then your lucky, but if you get a bfn you always have to say that it could be too early. So if you don't mind spending the money on test after test, then go ahead.
