dh use to drink alot. he slowed down to like 2 beers a week. but i know drinking heavly can cause sperm to die. but can they rejuvinate now that he has slowed down or are they permanitly gone? im not sure that his drinking killed them. i am just assuming it did. because he drank so much. Any thoughts? thanks in advance

Well, I believe chronic alcoholics can see their fertility go to sh*t, so I believe it's possible. But if your DH was really more a recreational drinker I doubt it would have any impact. Has your doctor ordered a semen analysis for your DH? You would learn if there's a problem, rather than speculating.

Good luck to you!

He might be okay, he might not. I'd get him off to the doctor for a semen analysis to know for sure!

Women are born with their eggs already. Whatever they are born with is how many they will have for the rest of their lives.

Unlike women, men are able to produce sperm until god know's when. I'm sure drinking can do something to fertility, but if it's been awhile and he's body is able to get back on track, I don't see why his sperm wouldn't bounce back.

If you're still not able to get pg for a year, depending on age, have him go in for testing to see if his sperm are okay.
