I have had the brown stuff LOTS of times. I was told by my doctor that it was *old* blood.. Sounds gross I know.. But he said that sometimes you bleed and it doesn't always come out.. and when it does its turned color because its old. I dont think its anything to worry about since all of your tests have come back negative. But if you are still concerned I would call your doc and ask about it. I'm not a doc of course.. but I have that brown stuff before every AF.. I hope that this may have helped you abit.. Within a day or 2 of it starting it should actually turn red and be your AF.. If not then I would contact the doc and just have him/her check it out for ya.. Hope everything turns out ok for you.. let us know

Hey Mizzqiarraffa!

Your symptoms sound very similar to mine. I'd check with a doctor and see what's going on. My appointment is today ( fun, fun ).....so, maybe I'll find out WHAT is going on with me!! I was told that I could be having an "Anovulatory Period" which essentially means that I didn't ovulate and have a build up of too much Estrogen, which is not good. The brown blood is old blood, but according to the doctor I talked with my spotting was not a normal period, but spotting from the build-up of estrogen. I'll know more once I see the doctor today, but I've been told that if they totally rule out pregnancy that they'll more than likely give me progesterone to force a period, check my hormone levels and then give me meds to keep them in check. I wouldn't just ignore this if I were you. Lemme know how you are! :) Missy
