can you still get period cramps??

Ok! Here's the scoop. I was on birth control pills and had a period and started taking my new pack. Then about 10 days later I decided that i wanted to have a baby and went off them. So it started another period. Now it has been over 4 weeks since that happened and I haven't had another period. I took a pregnancy test and it came out negative but I keep getting period cramps and then they go away. When this has happened in the past I always start that day. Can you still have period cramps your first month and not have your period but be pregnant?

To answer your question specifically, yes. Most women experience cramps when they're first pg. It's your uterus responding to the pg hormones by stretching and preparing for the long road ahead.
That said, while women can get pg within weeks of going off BCP, it's not very common. Your own hormones are going to be out of whack, and may be for several months. It doesn't mean you can't get pg, it just means your cycles may not be regular, making it more difficult. Since you're starting TTC you might want to start charting.
