Chemical PG at 15 DPO?

Here's my story and my chart - http://www.FertilityFriend.com/home/bhecquet

I got a definite postive HPT yesterday with EPT. Went to doctor to confirm today and nurse said the test was only faintly positive and took some blood for beta HCG and progestrone testing. On the way home, I bought a different HPT (clearblue) and got a faint positive.

Now, I had to drink about 3 glasses of water this AM to make sure I could pee for doctors and my own second test so I am thinking/hoping my HCG was just too diluted. Nurse said drinking water prior to pee test wouldn't affect test - but I don't think I believe her.

I am worried a postive turning to a almost negative could this be a chemical PG? However, since I am 15 DPO with a normal luteual phase of 13 days (so I would be two days late) I wouldn't think I would still be registering enough Hcg to show any test positive if fertilization did occur but implanation didn't since implantation is about 9 DPO.

Any thoughts?

I think things will be OK !Yes I chemical pg can react in the same way BUT a +++ is a +++ no matter what and Yes the water would have diluted your urine and could have made the lines turn out faint ! I think you will have a great result from your beta and you worried for nothing ! Hugs and keep me posted so I can give you a BIG CONGRATULATIONS when we see those high ###s!

Hi, I wanted to post my experience and hope yours is different. I started testing last month at 8-9dpos and got a very faint positive. I tested every other day until 14 dpos and the tests all got darker, but were still faint. I used three different brands. I didn't feel comfortable with the faint tests, so I went into my doctor and they too got a faint, but positive urine test. She told me not to worry that I was just early and to quit buying hpts. Well, I was so paranoid and was charting and the next day my temp starting dropping. I took a test and it was very faint, much more so than the ones I had taken two days before. This was 16-17dpos. I kept hoping it was because my urine was diluted, but 3 days later, at 5 weeks, I started to bleed, took another test and it was negative and I miscarried. I hope that your situation turns out different, but I really appreciated hearing other peoples stories so I was prepared. It could be that the doctor's test and the other test you took are less sensitive than your first. Please keep us updated and I hope the best for you. Tressa
