Well here I am ttc all for the first time ,while visiting another site I found some information stating that while preggo your vagina usually gets swollen inside and out because of being engouraged with blood.I have also found out that when you use a mirror and look you can see your cervix which looks like a ripe plum with a hole in it.Am currenly at 8 days past ovulation, and while doing my routine checks have notice that my cervix seems very high and hard with a dent, everthing seemed snug from just inserting my finger and i could see my cervix from just looking down there with a mirror.Has anyone ever heard of this and was preggo my period is due on the 17 of April was BDing on the on the 1 ,3 and 4 of April my periods is very regular it comes EVERY 26 days no later .Could some one give me some insights please.

Hello,
Unfortunately, feeling your cervix can not tell you if you are pregnant.
According to FertilityFriend.com
What is the cervix position like during early pregnancy? Can I tell if I am pregnant by observing changes in my cervix?
Observing your cervical position after ovulation will not provide any clues about whether or not you could be pregnant. Whether or not you are pregnant, the cervix usually returns to a non-fertile position in the two weeks following ovulation.
As far as engorgement, I think that happens much later.
You will have to wait until your period is due or late.
Good Luck,

Hi,
The engourgment of your vagina during pregnancy is something that happens much later. More like in your 2nd trimester. This is from the increased blood flow volume needed to support your baby, but again, this is something that happens much later on in pregnancy, not days past ovulation. HTH...good luck.

Hello,
Unfortunately, you can not tell by your cervix if you are pregnant. Every women is different and their cervix will feel different. The same thing goes with Cervical Mucous..you cant tell by CM if you are pregnant.
Your cervix closes after you ovulate. After that it can be high or low, soft or firm.
I find the only time checking your cervix is beneficial if you are checking to see if you are Ovulating....even then I think it is

Hi Marsha,
If you're late, then your cervix still being high and closed can be a sign of pg, but in and of itself it is not a solid sign. And as for the swollen lady parts, that does happen (trust me!) but usually not until later on in the pg. Then it's really quite obvious!
Good luck and don't lose hope. You could still definitely be pg. Only way to know is take a test.
