Does anyone have experience with this test? My sister took four pregnancy tests. They were all First Response. She got two FAINT positives and two negatives. I am assuming they were positives. I have read a lot about these fake lines and all. Her AF is due Monday. Should she just wait for it or do you think this clear blue will show? If she is not pregnant then I don't know what could be wrong. Symptoms are nausea, fatigue, sore breasts, tighting in abdomen with pulling, headaches, increased bathroom visits. If she was pregnant she would be about 4 weeks. Help!

After a certain period of time the HcG level that the pregancy test actually tests for just may not be sufficient anymore to be picked up on a test. Rule of thumb is if you get a positive it's a positive, if you get 2 positives then you are definitely gtg, even if she did get the 2 negatives as when I did mine, they were all positive but they kept getting lighter and lighter. I think the best thing she should do is wait for a day or 2 after her period is due to arrive, IF it doesn't show up by 2 days after the date she figures, test again and if she still isn't sure then a blood test at the doctors will let her know what's going on!

Faint postive is a postive, but let me tell you my experience last month. Faint positives day 26 and 27 so I mae an OB appointment for 5 weeks LMP. On day 29 the line is so faint almost cannot see it. Day 30 my period starts and blood test is negative. MY OB explained that this could have been a chemical pregnancy. Egg implanted but failed to develop and then flushed out. He also explained that almost 50% of pregnancies fail to go forward past the time of the period and women were pregnant without ever knowing it. Once you have pregnancy confirmed at OB miscarriage rate is only 10% or so.

Thinking we were pregnancy with a third child and then finding out we were not was very difficult because my other pregnancies went just fine after a strong positive HPT on Day 28. We were not prepared for it. Last time I had symptoms of pregnancy and have done it before and know what they are. I am convinced that I had a pregnancy that did not take.

The good that came from last month is that we know for sure that we want a third child and are now TTC for the first time. However, after last month I will not use an early HPT and will wait until Day 31 to test so I do not get excited and then disappointed.

All faint positives do not mean a chemical pregnancy or that she will have my experience. Some women do not put out a lot of HCG in the early stages of pregnancy. I have friends that will not test positive until they are one week late.
