Confused by ovulation calculators. HELP

I have been using BC pills, but somehow after the "empty" pill week which I never take, I forgot to start up a new pack. I didn't notice it until after I had missed almost a whole week. I still have not started a new pack..... so now I'm really worried.

I tried the calculators and charts online where you enter your LMP info, but can someone help me with the info? I get confused on it.

Ok so LMP was 2/18 and I usually have a 27 day cycle. All the sites I checked say: likely to be most fertile from February 28, 2008 to March 4, 2008 and Estimated Ovulation:03/02/08.

I dont remember (lack of sleep) but DH says that we were together on 2/24. If this is true, what do you think the chance is that I am pregnant?

Or if the date was 2/29 and not 2/24 what do you think the chance is?

I guess I should start paying more attention to dates.
Thanks in advance.

EDITED to add- DH was wrong, there was no hanky panky on 2/24, so that date is not a concern. But what about 2/29?

How early can I start testing?

The sites you are looking at are estimating ovulation dates on the fact that you would ovulate on or around day 14. With a 27 day cycle this is the most likely date when you are ovulating HOWEVER this does not mean you will always ovulate on day 14 and you won't always have a 27 day cycle. Stress and other factors can delay ovulation which makes your cycle longer. If you did BD on 2/29 (day 12 of your cycle)it is possible that you could become pregnant if you had fertile CM as sperm can survive up to 5 days but most likely don't last longer than 24 hours. If you were to become pregnant then you would be able to test depending on when you actually ovulated (without temping/charting and/or ultrasound it is impossible to tell) you have to wait atleast 12-14 days afterwards -that depends on your luteal phase length.

Not trying to make this difficult but there are a lot of variables involved and not enough facts to accurately determine your situation but it is safe to say you won't know if you are pregnant until at least March 16-18.

Hope this helps and good luck!
