could i be...????

i just want to start by saying that any type of feedback is greatly appreciated.

i am currently on Ortho-Tricyclen LO and on day 16 of the pill which means i should be getting my period next week. this is my second month on the pill and we have not been using a back up method since i started the second pack. i have read that you have to wait a full cycle before relying solely on the pill and since i have started the second pack, my bf has been ejaculating inside of me.

now with that being said, i have NEVER missed a pill and have a daily reminder on my phone to take it at the same time everyday. and i may have at the very latest may have taken it a half hour later but never any later than that. for the past week, i have been feeling incredibly exhausted to the point where it is a struggle to keep my eyes open in the middle of the day at work, a bit naesous at times, dull headaches, constant lower back pain and mild abdominal cramping - very mild. i usually do not begin cramping until the day before my period.

i am just wondering if it is highly likely that i could be pregnant or if i'm making a mountain out of a mole hill?

i hope this makes sense.

thanks in advance.......

not that i am a doctor, but my personal opinion is that given your info it is not "highly likely" you are pg - but it can happen, especially with your bf ejaculating inside of you. you may have to wait and see to find out - just like a lot of us! please keep us posted... love fzz

You're just on the 2nd month of the pill, so your body is still adjusting to the hormonal changes. It's VERY common and your Dr should've told you that it can take up to 3 months for your body to get accustomed. It also does NOT take a full cycle b4 the pill becomes effective when you're 1st starting BCPs. If you start the pill on the day you start AF, then the pill becomes effective immediately. If you start the pill on the Sunday after AF starts, then the pill becomes effective in 7 days. I'm assuming that your Dr or counselor did not explain how the pill works to you. IMO, you shouldn't be concerned. You're on your 2nd month and didn't get pg in the 1st (since you had an af), then you're fine. If the pill still doesn't cooperate w/ your body (if the side effects do not lessen) after 3 months, then you should consult w/ your Dr about a possible BCP change.
