Could I be pregnant?

I posted this on another board, but I have received little advice.

A little about me...DH and I are both 26 years old and just started TTC last month. I have a textbook cycle, 28 days with AF being cycle day 1 and O being cycle day 14 every single cycle. We really didn't give TTC the best effort last cycle to tell the truth. We decided to be relaxed about it and decided that if it happens, it happens. Well, a couple of weeks ago, I started having mild cramping and twinges in my pelvic area that I had never felt before and I'm still feeling them. I went to my GYN on Wednesday, Nov. 1, and dr. did a pelvic exam and transvaginal ultrasound. He said everything feels great and only saw a 1.5 cm corpus luteum on my right ovary. I explained to him that I ovulated on the 19th (I feel it every time I drop and egg, plus I am competent of my cervical mucous changes) and I am supposed to have AF on Nov. 2 (the next day).

Now, as I stated above, we were lax about TTC during last cycle. We only BD'd 2 days before O and three days after O. Well, instead of having my period on Thursday which would've been right on time as ALWAYS, I have only seen minimal brown to light pink. Sometimes my period starts out like this for a few hours before it picks up, but this is day three...and it's not even every time I wipe, only about 1/2 the time. I took a HPT on Thursday when the flow didn't start and it was BFN. I have been to-the-hour regular since 11 years old. If not, I wouldn't even think about this. Can somebody PLEASE throw some ideas at me?

Maybe you are just too early to get a positive. I would wait a couple of days and try to retest. I know the waiting is hard, just try. I think I read somewhere that there is a link between a corpus luteum cyst and a pregnancy, I am not sure. It could have been something I read over on the TTC board where I think you posted this as well. If your doc said everything looks fine, I would retest in a few days, still if AF hasn't shown up yet, I would call the doc back and see if they can do another exam or possibly a blood test.

Good luck and keep me posted about what is going on!

Thanks for responding, Maggie. :)

I hope you ladies don't think I'm a nut. I'm supposed to be on day 4 of AF today. This morning again I had some light brown to pink each time I wiped, except for one of those times I noticed about 3-4 very, very small flecks of what looked like old blood. The flecks were dark reddish in color and around it was the light brown. (I still can't believe I study my TP now!) Anyway, DH and I went to lunch with another couple today and afterward my friend and I went to Wal-Mart together. Oh my goodness, the whole time I was battling nausea and yawning. This wasn't extreme about-to-blow-my-groceries nausea, but it was pretty constant. Several times I even felt light-headed and had to grab hold of the cart. I'm so nervous about all this. I just want a normal period like I've always had if I'm not pg. This isn't me. I just don't feel like myself.

Keep me posted, and let me know what you find out if you test or if you go to the doctor. I hope that this is just a strange way to get your BFP.
