Could it be?

I think that I've gotten into my head too much and have talked myself into thinking that I'm pg.

I stopped taking bc pills in September because I'm trying to start using the NuvaRing (a form of bc). My gyn said that I have to have a period before using the Ring. Historically, I can't get a period without the pill because I don't ovulate regularly.

Cut to 2 weeks ago (early December). I was on the phone with my gyn telling her that I hadn't yet started my period but would like to start using the bc Ring. To be sure that I hadn't likely ovulated, she started telling me the symptoms of ovulation and it indeed sounded like I had ovulated. I haven't gotten my period yet.

My husband and I use the withdrawl method, but had one slip up a week ago. Here is where I think I'm talking myself into being pg. I'm nauseous at least 3 times a day and I'm excessively hungry. However, when I'm not feeling hunger pangs or nauseous, I'm not at all interested in food (which is very uncharacteristic of me -- I'm always ready to eat). I think that my breasts should be sore, but they're not. They're always sore before my period, so I think that they should definitely be sore if I were pg. I can't take a hpt yet because it hasn't been long enough and I don't have a date of last period (except for mid-September).

Any gut feelings? If my breasts don't hurt, is that a fool-proof sign that I'm not pg?

hard to say what your symptoms could be. the only thing to do is wait it out. im in the same boat kind of. i had an IUD removed over a week ago and started on the pill last sunday but ive missed a couple and we didnt use condoms this week either because DF found out he is allergic to latex and the non latex ones arent big enough. it wouldnt be a bad thing if i were pregnant but it would definitely be a shocker. Im just gonna wait for a while to see if I get my period since i havent had a normal one in over a year with the IUD.

I'm new to posting... what does "DF" mean?

Same here. Wouldn't be a horrible thing, but definitely a huge shock to us and our families. Whoa, I'm not sure I could handle TWO first-time grandmothers!

Happy early birthday :) I'm 26 on Jan. 4. We are the same age, but at such different places in life. I can't fathom having 2 children right now. We just got a puppy and he's a handful!

I come from a family with 3 girls and I can't imagine it any other way, but my husband would be over the moon if we ever had a boy. I'm putting the cart before the horse right now. I'm probably just having PMS or something.

we just had to get rid of our puppy:( with school and the kids and renting a house with no yard we just didnt have the time for him. i fell so much less stress right now with him gone. when we get a house of our own we will be getting another dog though and eventually i want to breed german shepards for handicap training use.
