I am trying to concieve and I just started on the 4th. I wanted to know if any of you know what the chances of getting pregnant on the first try are, and also does everyone have implantation spotting?

Are headaches and some constipation signs of pregnancy? Or am I too early to have any sypmtoms?

Thanks for your help!

Hi Chrysalis,

No, not all women experience implantation spotting...in fact, most don't. "Normally", we ovulate around day 14 of our cycle (Day 1 is the first day of your period), then, if fertilization occurs, implantation takes place 6-12 days after that. If your period was on Oct 4, then you haven't ovulated yet this month. Tiredness is normally one of the first symptoms, experienced even before a missed period. I don't know the statistics on getting pg the first month, according to drs, a normal couple should conceive within 6 months. As far asheadaches and constipation being pg signs....I' not sure.

Hope this helps & good luck!

Headaches and constipation are symptoms but not ALL women will experience them at all. As for spotting, I didn't spot during ovulation at all, not even 100% sure which day I did ovulate on. As for your cycle you'd need to give a little more information like was the 4th the last day of your last period or was that just the day you started trying? When was the last day of your last period???

Another suggestion I think you could / should try is charting. We were trying for 8 months (mind you I was coming off the birth control pill after being on and off of it for about 10 years) but the first month I started charting, we did it!
