I didn't want to tell her I might be preg because I don't know for sure, but I've read that a common cold or any kind of infection id very dangerous to a devleoping baby... Does anyone know anything about that, and how early in the pregnancy willl the baby be affected... Should I seek a doc's help with this??

1. Are wanting to know about the position of your Cervix, because I'm not sure if you can really tell about your Ovaries. There's a thread that you can click on about what to check for on your cervix. 'SHOW' means from what I have learned: Soft, High, Open and Wet. This is good right during O'ing and or before hand. The site had said that if your cervix is a 'SHOW'(ex. listed above) that it should feel like your lips or somewhat soft. AND if your cervix is firm, low, not open and dry then it said that it will fill like the very tip of your nose. This would generally take place after you have O'ed. You might want to check out one of the info. sites here on the board on Cervix Positioning to better understand.

2. CD means you count the 1st Day of your Last Period as being #1. For Example, the First day of my Last Af was on Tuesday 9/2/03, so you would count that as being day #1. Since today is Sunday 9/21/03 today would be CD #20 for me. Does that help. If I'm wrong, anyone else, please correct me.

I can't help you on the part as to having a Sinus Infection and if you're pregnant as well. I would check with the DR.

Hope this helps!

Well, I have never heard that about the common cold or infection. I know that with all my pregnancies I have had both a cold and major flu during my first trimester. My babies are fine. There are a few viruses tha can be devastating to the pregnancy, 1. rubella, 2. fifths disease, i think maybe chicken pox (not sure on this one). But your everday viruses and infections are not generally a problem, I get chronic ear infections while I am pregnant, it sucks but other than that no big deal. Just be careful about what you take for it, OTC drugs are just as dangerous as prescription.

I Know for a fact that I have a sinus infection...

I'm afraid to take anything for it, like and antibotic because I don't want to hurt the baby, but I don't want the infection to affect the baby either... AHHHH!!!!

Has anyone been on amoxacylin during pregnancy, because I know that's what they will give me!

HI! From what I know, Amoxicylin is safe to take when pregnant, but a book I have called "Pregnancy Pure and Simple" says that some antibiotics can cross the placenta and cause birth defects or death. I'm pretty sure that Amoxicylin is not one of those antibiotics. I would call your O.B. and ask, or just call any O.B. office and I'm sure they will answer that for you. Good Luck!!

I read on a website the any kind of pennecillin is considered a "TYPE B" drug and is safe, so I'm just going to take the dang stuff and make myself feel better, hopefully not interferring with the baby(?)

And I am going to continue to go to the Pharmacy and stare at all the HPT's and chicken out until Saturday (9/27). (Which is, by the way, 7 years since my mom passed away... that would be a great way to cope is if I found out I was pregnant!!!)
