I am only 10 dpo, but have had a feeling

that I may actually be pregnant.

I am very concerned however because I just

read that cramping (like menstrual cramps)

and lower back pain is a sign of early miscarriage.

I may not even be preg. but at first I thought

that cramps were a good sign since my AF isn't due for a week

or so.

After reading about the miscarriage thing, I wanted

to know if any of you had cramping in stomach and lower

back without alarm.

THANKS A BUNCH,

Charlotte

Well I don't have back pain but i'm 7 weeks and still having off and on cramping though its finally starting to settle. It was bad enough a few time through it that I thought that I was going to end up m/c but so far don't think I will as its getting far between now. I did have low back pain early on with my previous pregnancy, but no cramping...

Hi. From what I've been reading...It sounds like you could be getting cramps from implantation. I think cramps from mc are stronger. Cramps a week before your af is due, is most likely implantation cramps, if you normally don't get cramps that early. Do you chart? Implantation happens 5-12 dpo. I can't say for sure since I've never been pg. Good luck:o)

Hi I am just a lurker but wanted to let you know about my experience. When I got pregnant with my daughter I had irregular periods prior. I can tell you I had severe cramping, backpain and almost every PMS symptom you could imagine. This was not unusual for me b/c of the irregular periods. I continued to have a lot of cramping, backpain, headaches etc. and just knew my period had to start soon. I finally tested I think I was on day 35 or 40 and it was positive. I now have a beautiful daughter who will be 4 on the 10th. So cramping and backpain are not necessarily signs of miscarriage. My sister also had severe cramping with her daughter where she ended up in the ER (didn't know she was pregnant). Her daughter will be 6.

So I guess my advice to you try not to worry. Cramping is normal especially if you are pregnant, ligament stretching, uterus growing etc. I continued to have cramping with my daughter until I was about 3 months pregnant.

I wish you the best of luck.
