Just wondering if there is a chance of getting PG right after AF before you O ?????

DH and I were no where near TTC when we got our DD who is 2 now. But now that we are trying for the past 4 months and NOTHING and I thought we did BD right on time last month. Where as, with my DD I was on the pill, missed maybe a week if that, and I got PG. Whats going on here????

Impatiently Waiting,

The best thing for you to do is to count your cycle days. Cycle Day 1 is the first day of your period (not spotting, but red flow). You should start having sex on Cycle Day 10 and do it at least every second day from CD 10 to CD 18 to cover your bases. Most women find that they ovulate around CD14, but many ovulate earlier or later. The best indication of when you are ovulating is by charting your Basal Temperature every morning. If you don't want that hassle, I'd suggest paying attention to your cervical mucous. You'll find that your discharge becomes very slippery and the consistency of egg whites leading into ovulation. After you've ovulated, it will dry up and become creamy.

Good luck to you!

What's your typical cycle length? Ovulation typically occurs 12-16 days before your next expected AF. The CD14 ovulation is predicated on the "perfect" 28-day cycle; that is, if your cycle is 28 days long, you probably O on or around CD14.

Okay, sorry, I misinterpreted what the question was. Yeah, it is possible to O shortly after AF. This is more common in women who have longer AFs (i.e. 7-8 days).

Good luck to you!
