Don't know my own body

Hey,

These past two weeks have been very frustrating, and have left me with a variety of emotions. AF was expected last week on wednesday/thursday (7th or 8th) and came on january 9th, earlier, but normal other than that. AF never came. I had some spotting sat. morning, only after DBF and I had sex though. Other symptoms are there as well.. sore and heavy bbs, white bumps around nipples, extreme nausea, threw up once, urinating frequently, dizziness and a feeling like i'm about to get my period, but not cramping really, just feeling. Also, i looked at an ovulation chart, and DBF and I had sex three times around that period. (lol i had just quit my job, it rarely is ever like that)

Here's my problem, although i've never missed a period, i've had most of these symptoms before. I just don't know what to think. the anti-depressant i'm on, wellbutrin causes messed up periods and a variety of symptoms. but they've never lasted this long.

I feel really ashamed, since it feels like every woman out there knows her cycles and her pms symptoms, but i don't. until i was 20, i rarely got periods. at 19, i was diagnosed with an ovarian cyst, and after that was removed lapriscopicly i went on BC pills and have had regular cycles ever since. I'm 23 now, going to be 24 in a few weeks. For most of the last few years, I've known my cycles, expected my period on the wed/thur after i stop taking the pills on sunday, period usually lasting 4 days at most. some cramping usually. Ever since i started the wellbutrin tho, things have been so messed up. I've had 3 pregnancy "scares" since last march. I got my period for every one, but something about it was different, whether it was lighter, different pms symptoms or something like that.

i just don't know what to do. I took a hpt earlier today, and got a bfn. I'd like to go to the doctor so they can figure out what's causing the other symptoms, or for more tests, but i don't have insurance yet. i just started a new job and will be eligible april 1st. Right now, my plan is to try to go to planned parenthood, both to pick up new packs of BCP and to talk to them about it. I'm afraid tho of the costs, so i was also wondering whether i should just wait to see if i get my period in 3 weeks, or if there is any other changes.

i don't know what to do, but just talking about this is really helping. i'm feeling like since i was worried so much before i'm not really able to talk to DBF, and other than my 19 year old sister, i dont have many close friends. thank you to all who read through this tho :)

Hi Lizzie,

Please don't feel like every other woman knows their cycles and bodies. Trust me, I never really paid much attention to it until I got married and started thinking about having children. Believe me, you're not alone in not knowing what's up with your body. And even woman that know themselves to a T, have cyles that are off and strange things happen once in a while.

So, now if your period is that late and you're getting a bfn on the hpts, then your best bet would be to either go to your doctor, or planned parenthood. They might be able to do a blood test to check for pregnancy or at least figure out why your period is so late. If it still doesn't show up in a couple of weeks, they'll probably want to give you something to jump start it.

Good luck and please check back with us and let us know how you're doing :)

i am on that stage too.. i am also confused on my cycle now, i am a regular 31-34 cycle but this month AF came a week early (25-28CD) which is very odd to me... now i don't know what my real CD is... took HPT and came out negative :(
