Early Symptoms

It's still quite early for a pregnancy test for me, just over a week from ovulation. Though I have unusually sore breasts and have been very tired and achy. I'm hoping that I'm pregnant and that it was just too early to show a positive result from my test I did. It was a sensistive test but still.
I know it's early but I also know some people get early symptoms. I just 'feel' like I am pregnant.
I'd like to know of other who have had early symptoms & what they were.
Oh, I've also been more hungry than usual... I just hope my mind is not playing tricks on me and making these symptoms up in hoping!

I'm waiting until Tuesday or Wednesday to test again, so far all bfn's but I do have symptoms. So far, since a week ago now, I've experienced m/s, back pain, light cramping, headaches, dizziness, bloating, and tired (but I have a 6 1/2 month old so that could easily explain the tired). The only weird thing is that it all comes in waves for me. With DS I didn't find out until I was 5 1/2 - 6 weeks along and it was because of the nipple soreness that wasn't going away like it usually did with AF. I haven't gotten that yet but then again, I'm not that far along. After that, m/s and complete exhaustion set in right away. With all the bfn's I've gotten so far (even though some of them definitely were too early to test), it just makes me wonder if it's all in my head. But then usually I think that and then a little while later, I get another "wave" of something like m/s or light cramps or the weird headache. Good luck to you and hang in there. I know that wait is horribly long feeling.

Because I'm new to all the preggy talk can someone please tell me what bfn, m/s & AF means? I'm guessing AF is your period but why af? thanks! :)
(I just worked out m/s= morning sickness, right?)
The wait is killing me! I can't stop thinking about it and my partner is here to rain on my parade and bring me back down to earth, lol. I do think like you addisonsmomma that it must be in my head, but then I feel how sore my breasts are and how tired I am and I think if I'm not pregnant I'm either getting sick or having an extremely out of the ordinary cycle this month. The symptoms are too early for that anyway... I have a longish cycle so I wouldn't be expecting to get normal symptoms for that now... pretty sure I knew when I was ovulating this month too because I felt a slight stretchy pain in lower abdomen.
You'd think with all this technology today we'd be able to find out if we were pregnant sooner ;)

Ah, sorry for all the acronyms. AF is Aunt Flo, m/s is morning sickness (like you thought), and my guess on bfn is that it is big fat negative, bfp = big fat positive I suppose. There is a post on here that helps explain it. I'm going to see if I can find it and bump it up so it comes up as "new" and you can read it. It helps a lot in explanation of all the acronyms and some other things as well. If I can't find it, Crystal (this board's community leader) can you please bump it for me? I think it was on this board that I saw it.

Your symptoms sound right for pg, it's just a matter of time to find out if that is it or not, unfortunately. My cycles are somewhat longish too but this one is just crazy. I'm on CD (cycle day) 41 because I O'd (ovulated) 2 weeks late. Oh, I forgot to mention too, that it's completely normal to think that it's all in your head but this site and all these ladies are wonderful with helping you with any questions you may have, no matter how trivial or gross you may think they are (just incase you have any that you think are either of those). I am relatively new here too (about a month) and they have helped me sooooo much. The pool of knowledge here on this board is tremendous! Good luck and keep me updated and I will do the same for you.

It's nice to know that I'm not the only one sitting and waiting and wondering if it's all in my head. I've been pregnant twice before and I have a lot of the same symptoms but not all of them. When I was pregnant with my second son I knew I was but I must have taken 10 tests that were bfn. I'm not expecting AF until at least the 25th, but this is my first month off of bc so you never know I could not get it for a while, I've just been so nauseous and tired lately. I almost passed out at work last week, but I'm not sick (or at least no other sick symptoms) and I had horrible m/s with both of my other children that started extremely early. I keep taking test after test and they are all bfn. I agree that they should design some sort of EXTREMELY early test that allows us to find out right away or a lot sooner!

I'm not expecting AF till late this week or early next week. It's so long to wait! (seems like!)
It's hard to concentrate on work because I've got this on my mind... and I have a job where I really have to think. I think if I didn't have symptoms I wouldn't be so anxious.
It's great too that I can come here to chat as my partner is getting a bit stressed from me thinking & talking about it. I just have to try and be patient, I think he is just as anxious as me but deals with it in a different way. Last night I kept getting annoyed at him because he was constantly tapping and figeting, wonder if that's his anxiousness showing :)
So, I'm going to do a test on Saturday morning, then if thats a BFN (getting with the lingo now) it will soon be the time AF is due so I can test again next week.
I so hope I am pregnant... :)
It is nice to know others are in the same boat isn't it?

It is nice to know. We can all be anxious together. Let us know the outcome of the test. I'm horrible, I feel like if I take a test everyday then either it will be bfp or I'll get AF, either way I WANNA KNOW!!!

Hi, Katey. I'm with you! I'm expecting AF on Saturday, and I am SO hoping that she doesn't pay a visit. This is only our first month TTC our second child, and I remember from the first time around how powerful the mind can be! I have a few symptoms, but I keep trying to tell myself that it can't be pregnancy. We couldn't be that lucky, could we? I just don't want to get my hopes up.

So far, I've noticed 3 brief dizzy spells at 7 DPO. I had extreme fatigue at 7 and 8 DPO, but of course, I'm running after a two year old plus other obligations. I had increased appetite yesterday, and my breasts have been a little sore for the past two or three days. My son is nursing, and his latch-on feels like it did when he was a new born. But all of these things could be signs of AF coming. I just wish I could know!!!!

Thanks for listening. Good luck to you!

Got a question.. Does ovulation always happen 14 days before AF for everyone no matter how long their individual cycles? Or can it vary from woman to woman?

If so that means AF is due on Monday for me. Took another test, still early and BFN but I'm just so impatient with this!

I've got another sign: I started getting dull pains similar to menstrual pain last night. Usually I get menstrual pain the second AF starts and not before. I'm still so scared that AF will come!

erica, do you mean the mind is powerful making up pregnancy symptoms or the mind is powerful because we know we're pregnant?... lol
