Are there certain exercises you should/shouldn't do if you could be pregnant or you're TTC? I'm a yoga and martial arts enthusiast. Thing is, in yoga there are alot of stretches that seem like they could be dangerous to a baby or like in tai bo you kick alot and really high...could such things hurt the baby? I haven't been horseback riding in awhile because the doctor said I shouldn't but what about other exercises?

You'd need to discuss that with your dr.

all she said was to avoid twisting and stretching in the abdomen and no more horseback riding...nothing really specific.
thanks for the video tip I'll take a look out for those!

I'll do a search for you as well and see if I can find something specific.

that one site for the book has alot on tai bo but I definitely still need more on yoga because it is a very big part of my life. That other site said that exercise during pregnancy can reduce crankiness and colic I had no idea it had that great of an effect!

Is there anything that can help you get pregnant if you aren't. Let's face it we can't rely on symptoms and I can't test for about another week so ya never know.

the prenatal yoga site has like all the basic positions that are part of daily practice so that will be a big help. Plus it has some extra stuff specific to birth preparation.

Thanks again, you're a huge help!

I don't take yoga, but I know that our local yoga studio offers a prenatal yoga class.
