Experiencing "let down" nursing feeling?

Hello! I'm 8 dpo having all the "typical" symptoms, but then something unusual happened to me today and I'm wondering if it's happened to anyone else here who's had a baby before. Earlier this morning I experienced the feeling of "let down" - you know, like when your milk is coming in and you're needing to nurse? I haven't had that happen to me for like 6 years (my daughter was about two when I stopped experiencing it). I THINK I remembering having it as an early sign of pregnancy when I was pregnant with her (I also have a ds). Has this happened to anyone else out there? I'm so hopeful it means something! Thanks ladies!

Hi Michelle!

Yes, we're actively trying, but we don't get pregnant very easily. When I had that feeling yesterday I was in the middle of class and was thinking to myself... "did that REALLY just happen!! OMG that hasn't happend since DD was little!" Now that I think back, I do recall posting on the boards here about it way back in 1997 when it happened to me during the first weeks of DD's pregnancy. I recall that no one else really had it as a symptom, but there were a lot of first timers on the boards back then. I can't imagine it meaning anything else though, it's just too odd and distinctive of a feeling...when it happened, it took me right back to the time when DD was little. I almost want to beg you to test early to see if that's what you're feeling too! *laughs* I tested this morning and got a bfn, but it's only 8.5 dpo so I know it's way too soon. In the past I've usually waited til AF was almost due and normally get a light line around 12 dpo. I'm excited for both of us though!! It sounds like you may squeak into the Sept. expecting group because when I did a due date check based on the day I ovulated it gave me an Oct. 1st due date. My pregnancies are high-risk so I'll be induced a week early if I don't have a premie though! Please please let me know when you test, I can't wait to hear!

I believe I also had the "let down" feeling on and off for the past 4 days. I've had that distinctive tingling feeling in my nipples sporadically throughout the day. I haven't had the tingling today yet, but I've noticed my nipples are hard even when I'm warm and are VERY VERY sensitive. The actual breast tissue is not sore or swolen whatsoever, but damn are my nips SENSITIVE!

I don't know what DPO I am because I do not temp. I'm about a week away from AF's arrival and am probably going to test on 1/24. I usually get PMS symptoms about 10-14 days before AF comes, but I'm having absolutely NO PMS symptoms whatsoever and I only have 6 days before AF's supposed arrival. I took a HPT on Monday and it was a BFN but it was probably too soon to test anyways, I just get excited!!!

I've never had this feeling before AF's arrival so I'm very hopeful that we did it this time around! I've also had very dull uterine cramping and backaches for the past 4 days and have been a little moody (nothing like PMS) LOL. I also noticed the bumps around my nipple are more pronounced and it looks like I have a bit of a faint linea negra coming in from my belly button to my pubic area. Not sure if I'm imagining it or not!

Good luck to you gals! Post your results when you test!!! I'm anxious and excited for us all!!!

Again today, there were several times where I actually looked down at my blouse and expected to be leaking.

"I am definately having some creamy cm, but again not trying to get too excited."

WAIT WAIT WAIT A SECOND! Creamy CM can be a sign???? I had NO idea but I have an ABUNDANCE of this stuff. Looks like thick hand cream. (I know, TMI lol)

I have NO PMS symptoms (which is VERY unusual for me) and that's making me really believe that there's a very good chance that I could be preggo. Mymonthlycycle's predicts that I ovulated between the 9th and the 14th and hubby and I BD'd like 5 times during this time. I just hate this waiting!!! I can't wait until next Wednesday!

Oh Michelle...I'm so sorry! :( I wonder if we're getting these feelings because we want babies so much? I still have a couple days til real testing, thank you for the baby dust! I hope to see you on the Oct. boards whether I'm there or not! Take care (and have fun with the BD this month!), Stacy

I had EXTREMELY sensitive nipples as an early sign in my last pregnancy, that was actually my very first clue, and something I'll never forget. The bbs soreness came and went, but my nipples...omgosh...zing!

My AF is due the 22nd, so you and I are really close. I'm going to start the serious testing on Sat, so I'll let you know what turns up. Your signs sound so promising; I hope we both make it to the Oct. boards! Let me know what happens!

I most certainly will keep you posted! I think I'll be in the Sept boards. Mymonthlycycles says my EDD would be 9/30/07 based off my LMP of 12/24/06. That certainly is cutting it very close to October! DH's birthday is 9/27 so maybe we'll luck out and he'll get a very happy b-day present!!!

I just had a late lunch like an hour ago and I have THE WORST bout of nauseasness that I've had so far. I didn't think eating could make anyone feel horribly nauseaus but it's happening to me! (Sorry this is probably TMI:) I went to the bathroom because I felt like I was going to puke and verped. Gross! I'm still queasy as hell.

Well I think I'm out...I started spotting at 9.5 dpo...which is weird, but it's been 24 hours since it began and though very light, isn't stopping. Maybe I was just psyching myself up and encouraging those feelings to come. The "let down" only happened twice so who knows. AF isn't due til Tues or Wed, but I don't feel very optimistic.
