False Positive on Clearblue digital?

Hi, I haven't been on this board because I've been on the IVF board - DH (we have male factor issues) and I were told last month that our chances of conceiving naturally were about nil (less than 4%). So I've been patiently waiting for AF to arrive so that I can start the IVF cycle. I am pretty clockwork, start the last Thursday of the month, Friday morning at the latest. Well, it's wee early Sunday morning and no AF. I feel like I have the beginning of cramps, but they never get strong. I took 2 EPT tests and had FAINT vertical lines (the plus sign version) and went out and bought a clearblue digital and it said "Pregnant." Are these tests known for false positives? It seems crazy that I could be pregnant! Ironically, DH and I went out Friday to celebrate the decision to do IVF this cycle and I had a martini and a glass of wine! Whoops! I'm going to test again in a few hours (when it is morning here) but would like to know others' experiences.

If you are getting a faint positive on the one and "pregnant" on the other than you are most definatly pregnant. You don't get false positives often, if at all, on those tests because they only show up positive if you have hcg in your system.
So CONGRATS to you!!!!! Hope you have a happy and healthy 9 months and see that miracles do happen =)

I had the same thing happen - yesterday the CB said "Pregnant", though I had a hard time believing it. Today (after probably having too much water) it said "Not Pregnant", so, being the nut that I am, I took two First Response tests - one was so faint it was almost not visible, but the second one was clearer.
I don't have any good answers for you except to say that we're probably both positive, but not far along enough for there to be a great deal of hCG to detect, so the tests are a little flaky.
I'm going to go in to the doc for a blood test early this week, just so that I don't drive myself nuts!
Best of luck to you :)
