fertility link?

i'm just wondering, i've always heard that if you want to know what your pregnancy/labor will be like, ask your mother what her's were like. would it make sense for there to be a link between fertility, too? i'm just curious, because i know my mother got pregnant within a month of being married (if she was active before that, it still only took her 3 months to concieve cuz she was only with my dad for 2 months before they married). and she was 36 at the time. i mean, maybe she was lucky, but i've heard my mom say that 2 years is the perfect age difference between siblings, and my brother was actually due within a couple days of my 2nd b-day (he was born early, tho) and i doubt that was just coincidence. i guess i'm asking, if my mom had above average fertility, would i be likely to have above average fertility too? (not that i could prove that she did - she's 58 and like five years into menopause now) that's my random rant for the night, what do you girls think?
