Here are the stats.

A couple of weeks ago my DH told me he was going to reverse his vasectomy. He had one 7 years ago before he met me. I am elated! (but we haven't had the reversal yet)

AF came on 8/6/03 and lasted until 8/10/03 (totally normal for me)

I began to get cramps and pains in my lower abdomen begining on 8/14 and still have them today. Like I was going to start my period. Like I still am going to start my period.

8/17 - I am spotting. Never, ever spotted this early. I thought I shold be ovulating right now (this is not normal for me and has NEVER happened before)

8/18/03 - have what appears to be ovulation mucus but still spotting and still having pain.

What in the heck is going on? Any ideas. I thought it was a bladder infection because the pain was pretty low. Then I got blood on the TP and I thought...wow I must have a bad bladder infection. Then made sure I was whiping the right spot and sure enough...I am spotting. I am totally confused. Anyone have any thoughts? NO, it doesn't hurt to pee. So pretty sure it isn't bladder infection...besides those I have had before.

HELP???

Thanks...this is just so wierd. Anyway, I already have an apt. on Weds. I don't have a fever, and I thought that would be a sign of a kidney infection, or at least one that caused me to bleed. I don't think the blood is cominf from my urethra though? I am puzzled....

Ok ladies....went to the dr. yesterday because I looked into a kidney infection and not only are they dangerous, I could admit that I have symptoms. But I didn't test pos. for a UTI or a Kidney infection. Because DH had a vasectomy, and the timing they didn't do a pregnancy test and at the time I was ok with it. They decided to put me on antibiotics for 3 days to see what happens. But today, no change (though I have only taken one of the 3 doses). He thought that maybe I am "more sensitive than their test is" which kinda puzzled me a bit. The last time I had a UTI my urine was cloudy in the collection cup. This time, it was clear as can be, and quite clear...(I have been keeping well hydrated) : )

So what I want to know is the twinges/pain/cramping from pregnancy more on the bottom of where you feel your uterus? I can honestly say that the cramping/tightness that I feel seems pretty low, and low enough for my bladder, but I wouldn't call this abdominal pain because it is too low. Wierd?

I have an apt. with my new OBGYN tomorrow for an annual, maybe she can enlighten me.

Thanks for listening.

Sounds perfectly normal to me. Sometimes leading up to and durring ovulation there will be some cramping and spotting. I have experienced the same thing. It freaked me out the first time it happened but after doing some reading and talking to my doc I realized this is quite common. These signs of ovulation can actually be very helpful when you are trying to get pregnant. The crampiness is probably the result of irritation of the abdominal lining caused by leakage of blood or follicular fluid released from the ruptured egg follicle or contractions of the fallopian tubes. Check out the book "Taking Charge of Your Fertility by Toni Weschler, WPH.

I can totally see what you are saying but did it happen for you just suddenly?

Seriously, this is not even slightly normal. I have been to 2 dr. about a bladder infection. I have been on 3 days of anti-biotics and also had my kidneys palpated, and they didn' t hurt. The only think lacking here is a pregnancy test. I am still cramping daily and my back still hurts.

to re-cap:

AF fro 8/6 thru 8/10

cramping like AF 8/14 daily

8/17 spotting

8/18 clear cm with tint of spotting

cramps continuing

8/23 breasts sore

8/24 breasts really sore

My cycle is more on the 28 to 30 day routine. This last period was about 6 days late to begin with. If I was on a 28 day cycle I should have O on the 19th and I should be ready to start until 9/2. My breasts, back and abdomen shouldn't even be in the mix for at least 4 days.

I have taken 2 pregnancy tests. Both were neg. however I realized that these were not "early" ones and they would be accurate to test one day after you missed your period, which is a long way off. So should I just get an early test and if so when in the heck do I test?

If this is just AF then why is it that I have been symptomatic like this for nearly a week and a half? Has anyone else had this happen? I am just really not sure what is going on, and I truly believe it ins't a period.

Could it be that because my period was so late I could have O at the very end of it and didn't realize it? My breasts remained sore for sometime after my period which is odd. And now they are sore again so early? I am sleeping through my alarms lately, and dreaming crazy vivid long dreams. Like I am watching a full feature movie and it is a dream...

Can anyone else shed some light on the situation...

My back is killing me. as soon as my breasts got sore yesterday, I got a headache. My appetite is nearly non-existant. I almost threw up at the tase of an avocado, which i though tasted of fish, but no one else thought so.

HELP!

Did you go for that exam? I really thought maybe you had a infection but since that isent the case ! I got to looking at your notes and it seems to me you may have o'd on the 18th ! Was the clear cm stretchy? If this is the case it would be way to early for a hpt to be +++. that would be only 7 days ago.I do have PMS symptoms around O time and then again off and on untill my next af. As far as oing and af last cycle my cycles used to be exact 28 days then they changed and have become irregular and I do not O at the same time everymonth ! maybe this is the case for you! Let us know how it goes !

yes, it was stretchy. Actually the first time I cared to actually put it between my fingers to stretch. It was totally egg white, and it was slippery. The funny thing is that this was to be the first month I began to actually chart my ovulation. I have tested on the 20th and 21st for ovulation, even though there was no cm at that time and both days were neg. Even though i should have oed on either the 19th, 20th or 21st. No cm at all by then, but I also thought that I had a kidney/bladder infection.

so today my lower back feels like it is being compressed and when I sit down and bend forward it is a HUGE relief. I get cramping every once an a while and today it felt like a side ache. More like tendons. At any rate my appetite is really the odd thing. I am not hungry. Most of last week I would be nauseous/hungry, then I would eat and then I felt more nauseous. Just wierd things. I am thirsty all the time. So needless to say the whole pee thing isn't an accurate symptom. Yesterday while we were out I had to pee 5 times in 3 hours. I also drank 80 ounces of water and kept going.

right now is it just twinges really low. Like about 2 inches above my pubic bone. it isn't gas or anything like that. As a matter of fact I feel like I am just holding something in the front and not in the back, something is taking up room.

Do you think that I could test with an early test yet? I just don't know. I do have my annual exam on Wednesday (last wednesday it ran to long to do the pelvic since it was my first visit to my nautropath) so maybe she will notice something. I even had my back adjusted last week and still nothing.

I have to say that I am totally aware of my body, but this isn't normal for me at all. This is sustained aching daily. it involves my lower (like tailbone and a few inches up) back. It is focused cramping on my uterus and muscles below, it isn't side aches and it isn't a pulled muscle.

It just seems wierd. I even thought that though I am having this kind of pain/ache that it wasn't even normal for a woman that was pregnant. Any more info would be huge for me....I realize this is complicated because the things that typically tell you when AF is coming are not falling in to place all that neatly.

What do you all think? Blood test on Weds? Would it even matter? HELP!

sounds a lot like pg to me! if you DO decide to test early, i would get the First Response Early Response test- that one measures even less than most dr office urine tests~ and be sure to use first morning urine!! (or i would wait until AF is due in 3 or 4 days, and test then~)

but either way, a blood test should be accurate, a week into the pg, so who knows!

good luck hon!

Well thanks for your ears.

I also have a random question. Do women early in pregnancy get hemorrhoids? This is probably TMI but I think I have them and I havn't had them since I was really little. I have no idea why I have them, but it is really uncomfortable. Is this just something that "happens" if so why?

I also just realized that at the end of my period my flow was CRAZY slippery, I wonder if that was my CM from O. I kinda think that I may have actually O days after my flow stopped. Crazier things have happened.

I will try the really sensitive test and see. If I have a normal (whatever that means) cycle then I am not due to start until the 2nd or 3rd of September. My breasts shouldn't be sore this early, and I sholdn't be cramping each day for 12 days and counting.

Time will tell. This could be one GIGANTIC miracle. How great would that be?

well, about the hemmrhoids, they usually don't happen until the 4th month... the reason they happen is from the pressure on those veins down there, coming from heavy baby and uterus~ so they shouldn't be happening now, as far as that goes...

and it's possible to O really early into the cycle- some girls get pg on day 6! never know!

as for sore breasts, mine were sore 1 1/2 weeks into the pg, with my dd. and i was cramping and bloated about the same time~ so, it's VERY possible that you are pg... and don't discount the symptoms just because you're "too early"
