Ok, I will try and make this quick. I stopped taking my bc about a month and a half ago, and had a what I call a "birth control period" (basically black and tarlike) right after I stopped the pill. Then about a week and a half after, I had what I call a "normal" period (red, and lasted about 4-5 days)

Well that was about 5 weeks ago. I am usually very observant of my body and usually know when something is happening. (I don't have sex on my week of O) In the past 5 weeks, I have not felt any signs of ovulation. Well 2 days ago, I had slight spotting. Just once when I wiped. and since then I have had very mild cramps, lower back pain, and also what seems to feel like ovulation. Today I have felt extremely nauseous and tired. Eating just to make it go away temporarily. I am not really wanting to be pg, so I am trying not to think about this. BUT I was told by a gf that I am more likely to get pg right off the pill. (I have only been on it for 5 months before I stopped) Is it possible for me to be pregnant?? I understand that my body is confused from just geting off the pill..But I just needed some insight I guess..

Thanks

I haven't heard that you are more likely to get pregnant right off the pill, but it's definitely possible. I got pregnant while taking the pill because I lost one down the garbage disposal. I had the same symptoms you do, but it's true also that getting off the pill will confuse your body.

It sounds very possible that you could be pregnant. I have also heard that women are often very fertile right after stopping the pill. Those sound like pg symptoms, but they could also be symptoms of a dozen other ordinary things (slight food poisoning, flu, etc.) I would test now & then in a week. I hope that this is just your body getting back to normal. The pill does different things to different women. Good luck! Beth
