Ok I'm 5 days late and all my test are negative. I took one this morning (-), I have a dr. appt Thursday, but I'm so impatient I went out to buy some more tests. I bought a 3 pack from Walgreens( they look the same as Accu-Cleat, but I don't know). Anyways I took an accu-clear this morning and it was negative. I decided that I would take one when I got back from Walgreens. Has anyone every had the control line and the other one you know is there, but you have to really look hard to see it, like it's not there but it is. I thought I saw a line but it was barely there. Am I imagining it or what.

I totally did that this morning. I took a FRE and I think it was BFN, but am uncertain. There was a little line grey and not pink and going the wrong direction. Who knows. I think we should wait a few days and then retest. I am also five days late. Ugh!

Beware of the evaporation lines! I had the same thing happen a few months ago. If it's grey, I wouldn't trust it. If it's pink, I'd say it could be a *real* faint line. I did a test with just water to see what would happen, and got the exact same faint grey line!

Well I know it wasn't grey. I could see the pink, but it was like I really had to look hard to see it. I did it after the 3 minutes but before the 10 minutes that it says. I don't want to get my hopes up yet. I know I should probably just wait till I go to the dr. in 2 days, but it's so hard.

I've spent soooo much money over the years on tests that I stare at for hours thinking I see a line that isn't there. So far all have been not really there except one four years ago, when I was indeed pregnant with my daughter. I asked a doctor friend about the almost line, and he said that if you have to strain to see it, or can only see it in certian light then its really just the marker for the test strip. Wish I could say something better, but hang on...it may just be. I'll keep an eye out for your BFP! :)

Some tests, when held just right, in just the right light...you can see a line where the positive should be, but its just exactly that, just a place where it would show. I know I come across a site that said something about it...i'll see if I can find it before I post this...Here is the section about it...

"Evaporation lines are reported with most brands, and should be considered normal for home pregnancy tests. This is why tests should be read within the time specified within the instructions. Most recently we have had reports about the Inverness Medical tests different brands, AimStick, and dBest. Clearblue/ClearPlan sometimes has a white line where the result should appear, or a gray line without colored dye -- neither of which should be considered a positive result and require retesting."

This page has a lot of good info on tests, and this part it located way down the page...but here is the link for it : http://www.fertilityplus.org/faq/hpt.html
