Help! Confused!

Okay - I'm confused! First time poster, long time lurker! A little about me - 32yo, married to DH 9.5y, 7,6, and 3 yo boys. My question is this, I've taken a couple of HPT and I THINK they're positive (but I'm not sure -- thus my problem). I can see a very, very, very faint line (did I mention that it's really light?!?), my DH can't really see it (always the practical one, he suggests waiting a few days to see for sure). So what do you ladies think? A positive's a positive, right? I know (logically) that the only thing I can do is wait and retest, but I'm starting to be obsessive! Thanks for the insight!

Wait a couple days and retest, as HcG levels double every 48-72 hours.

Okay, still confused. I took another test this morning (I bought them from early-pregnancy-tests.com) and got the same result. Shouldn't it be darker by now if I were pregnant? I do know in the past that I've had false negatives, so I know that it takes longer for me to test positive, but I'm going nuts. Should I just suck it up and wait several days and then retest? How many days? 2,4,6?

Thanks in advance for your help. I really feel a little stupid since this will be my fourth pregnancy -- shouldn't I have this figured out by now?

Thanks again.

Your levels may rise more slowly.

I've always been told it doesn't matter HOW dark the line is as long as there's a line.

There are MANY of us who have Healthy children whose beta never doubled. If it is even remotely positive- it is in deed positive. My home pregnancy tests were always faintly positive, even months into the pregnancy. THERE ARE NO ABSOLUTES in pregnancy. Call the MD and get the serum test. It is accurate. It will detect pregnancy at around 20-25 BHcG.

Well, I took another test this morning and pretty much got the same result. So, I am going to assume that I'm not pregnant. I think I'm over-thinking it and trying too hard. If it's going to happen, it will with or without me stressing over tests.

Thanks for your help, ladies, I really appreciate it. I'll let you know if/when we get pregnant!
