HELP - "First response"

I just purchased the new "First response" HPT that claims you can test up to four days sooner than other tests (up to three days before period is due). I am going completely insane with the wait (period is due on Sunday). Has anyone tried this test and know if it is reliable? I do not want to do it and get a "-" because it is to early and then really be disappointed! HELP!

Hi!

I'm supposed to start on Sunday, too. I took a FRE yesterday (11dpo) and got a BFN, of course. Way too early. I don't have high hopes this cycle since my imagined symptoms are starting to fade...

Good luck!!

That test does really work...BUT...if you test this early, don't be totally discouraged if you get a BFN. If you look on the box, it only dectects pg in 52% of women who take it 3 days before AF is supposed to show up (if I remember correctly). That's only half! If you do decide to take it early, make sure you use FMU (first morning urine) because that will have the highest level of HCG in it. GL!!

According to the package insert from my clearblue easy test, when women WERE pregnant, the test detected it early 53 percent of the time 4 days before period was due, 74 percent 3 days before, 84 percent 2 days before, 87 percent 1 day before and 99 percent the day of or after. So if you test early and get a neg., it says to repeat the test in a few days to confirm. It also says first morning urine is best for an early test. Hope that helps.
