I would take another test tomorrow, I think hCG increases with each day. Then call your doc monday, I would say a line is a line. I have heard a lot that the dollar tests are more sensitive. Good luck!!

HCG levels are supposed to double every 48-72 hours. The pee tests at the dr's are no different then the ones we take at home. The blood test may be your best bet right now. I'm not sure where you got your information that you'd be covered for 6 months, but some women return back to their normal cycles within 8-12 weeks of giving birth. With my oldest dd, I stopped bleeding at 8 weeks and started AF again at 12 weeks. And I too was breastfeeding. I have no idea regarding a time frame for detectable HCG after birth. I don't see any reason why it wouldn't build unless there's too much detectable HCG from the first birth to register. No clue. Try testing again with FMU (first morning urine) and see what it says. Good luck Hon. Quite a few women out there have babies close in age. Some things are just beyond our control. Good luck, and keep us posted.

thank you ladies very much. its weird that when its not something to do with you, you can give advice with confidence. if i were you ladies, i'd be telling me the same thing. i don't know why i freaked out like that. i know all this stuff from when i was ttc my son. i do know that weird things happen with hpts and theres a good possiblility an opk strip could have gotten in the cassette. but then again, they would have had other complaints. i feel sick. this is really not the best time. i wanted to wait five years and try for another girl. i have had a false positive with the # tree tests, but it disappeared within 4 hours. they had that problem with the old frer tests, but not the new one, and again, it didn't dissapear, still there two days later. its just so weird the others were negative. but yes, i will retest tomorrow am, and call my doc on monday. the funny thing is, after i showed dh tests, he said its too light to be positive, he wanted to use a condom after all my begging for the past 3 months. he thinks the pull out method works. HA!!! i hope its not too late. it wouldn't be terrible, just inconvient timing, and then again, is there ever a right time to have a child? i should have had my preggo sister-in-law poas ages ago and scared him into using a condom then. oh well. tomorrow is forver.
