Hi Everyone,

Just want to see what you all think about this.. I am on a low dose birth control. I take it every morn at 7:30am, except weekends - usually more around 11am. During the first week and third week of my cycle I forgot to take the pill and doubled up the next morning.

If I did ovulate, it was around 9/9. The first day of my last period was 8/26. I'm due to begin on 9/23.

Here's the thing. Yesterday I woke up and felt horrible. So exhausted, diarrhea all day and into this morning, gassy, nauseous, little achey in the low back abdomin. BBs are fine - they are very small and they usually don't ever get sore. I also am extremely emotional and to top it all off I had a dream last sat night that I was pregnant! I threw up a bit last night - first time in almost 6 years. I never throw up. I have also felt dizzy for a couple days now.

Do you think I could be pregnant, or is it just something that I ate? :) Also, is it to early to take a test, or should I just wait it out til Tues to see if I start my period? I am not married, but I am in a serious relationship where we plan to get married - right now we live together. At first I freaked out at the thought of being pregnant, but now I welcome it. There is a reason for everything.

Any thoughts would be great!

Oh yeah, sorry for the TMI. :) I'm new, and don't know all the lingo yet. Take care!

I have to say, that the women on this board are some of the most beautiful and loving people I have ever come across. I'm feeling so loved and warm seeing all the responses I got.

Here's the update... I ended up taking a test yesterday (Sunday) afternoon. BFN. I was feeling better on Saturday and Sunday, but I needed to check anyway. Last night and today I have had major cramps, but I do believe it is because my period is due tomorrow.

I'll keep you posted and let you know what happens.

Also, I told my boyfriend what I was feeling on Friday evening. I never realized how wonderful he really is until I saw that he was calmer about the whole thing than I was. After the resluts of the test he even admitted that in a way he had hoped it was positive. Now I know we can handle what ever may come our way.

Baby dust to all of you, and thanks again! :)

Hey

I'm sure your just worrying about it and it's inducing symptons. I find if you put too much thought into something it begins to seem real. Wait until tuesday If you don't get your period than take a test on wednesday of thursday take it FIRST THING IN THE MORNING when pregnancy hormones are highest. The stress may make you late anyways tho. Dont' worry too much til you know. Good luck, I hope things turn out for you. and if you are pregnant then congrats...everyhting DOES happen for a reason! Future reference....take pill at the smae time EVEN ON WEEKENDS..try liek dinnenr time or before bed you need to take it within a couple hours of your usual time...very important.

take care-> K

it's possible that you are, but it's always possible even if you take the pill regularly. it's also possible that you just got a little sick. wait and see if you're period starts on time. if it's a couple days late, take a test. and since you're on the pill, it's hard to predict when you would have ovulated if you did. but, assuming you did ovulate on the 9th, you'd need to have had sex between the 7th and 10th to have a real chance of being pregnant. (2 days before to a day or possibly 2 after) missing pills makes your chance higher, as does not taking it at the same time every day. i take mine at night because otherwise, it'd be all over the place! some mornings, i'm up at 6 and others i'm not up til 10 or 11! anyway, you might want to find a time of day that you can be more consistent with. i always take mine between 10pm and 11pm, and the really nice thing about that is that then, if i miss a pill, i can take it in the morning and then take another one that night rather than having to completely double up (it's made me sick the two or three times i did that). anyway, i'll quit while i'm still somewhat relative. good luck!

Hi

If you really think you are pregnant do a test. If it comes back negative but you still haven't got your next period then do another one. Go to your GP or the Family Planning Clinic where tests are free. Good Luck, hope the result is what you want.

Hi! It sounds possible to me! Stranger things have happened, right? Several of my friends--and myself included--have gotten pregnant while they were taking bc pills. My ob told me that all it takes was a missed pill here and there. It would be exciting for you! What does your bf say about the situation?

Congrats to you and I'll cross my fingers!

Have a great day! :)

Hi, my name is Jennifer and I have a similar story. I'm 26 years old and my dh and I have been seeing a fertility doctor for a few months now. My period is due either on 9/24 or 9/26. We fooled around on 9/7 but I had severe pain so we stopped, and I was due to ovulate around the 9th of September. On Tuesday 9/16 I was at work and passed out on the floor due to who knows what. All I know is I never pass out and I'm diabetic. Ever since then I've done nothing but puke and have headaches with a swollen abdomen and congestion. My blood sugar was 145 this morning and 3 hours after that it was dropped to 77 which is abnormal for me. I'm exhausted and also moody and emotional. I spotted today 9/23/03 and yesterday 9/22/2003 and had severe diahhrea on Friday and Saturday of last week. I was thinking I might of had a virus but I'm doubting that now. What do you think??

Hi Jennifer! Sounds like you and I are going through something similar. Maybe we ate the same bad food :) I too have spotting. Maybe it is my period, but my second day (today) is usually so heavy that I need to change every two hours. I haven't had to wear any protection at all-not even a liner. Very strange. Could be due to all the stress I put myself under though.

I still don't have a normal BM either. I also had bad back pain and cramps all day yesterday which woke me up the night before. I haven't had cramps like those since before I went on the pill 6 years ago. I think that if my real period doesn't come on again soon, I may test again. Let's keep in touch to see how each other is doing. It's nice to know you are out there.

Hope you feel better soon, and feel free to start a new thread if you'd like to keep in touch. I'll look for you :)

to jennifer - i have a friend who became diabetic during her first pregnancy - the hormone shifts can throw it all out of whack for some reason. she went from not having more than a headache from skipping breakfast on occasion to having to monitor her sugar levels constantly. and she was only 16 or 17 (i forget now).

Thanks, I was a little scared, but I'm being monitored carefully through my fertility doctor. I'm having problems breathing though, and that is scaring me. I just got done watching the movie Coyote Ugly and I cried through most of the movie. If you have never seen it, it's not a sad movie, it's about a girl who goes to NYC to become a songwriter and succeeds. So, I'm going to see if af comes soon and if she isn't here by Sunday, I'll test. Keep your fingers crossed for me.

It might be something you ate, or just nerves from thinking you might be. Your body can play tricks on you and make you feel pregnant if you have it in your head that you are. Usually you need to be off the pill alot more then one day to get it out of your system. If you are pregnant I hope you the best of luck!
