I really hope that this is it. my temps have been rising for 3 days & if they continue to rise then i will feel better about testing. I do have a question.....I think I o'd on wed,(my temps have been rising for 3 days) but that was the only day we did not bd! Its just really bothering me. We bd'd for the 5 days in a row before i o'd, just not that day. Did I ruin my chances? i know that the sperm can live for 2-3 days but how long can the egg survive? thanks for any answers!!

From what I've read the ovum survival time is less than 24 hours. Sperm ejaculated into a woman's vagina remain alive and able to fertilize an egg for 3 to 5 days. Ideal temperatures and nutrients in the seminal fluid allow the sperm to stay alive in the mucus of the cervix.

Hang in there & Good Luck!

The egg last for 24 hours. Bd'ing in the days before ovulation happens is best. If your cm was ewcm on any day that you bd'd before ovulation occured then that gives you the best possibility of conceiving in each cycle. Good luck when you test! ~Barb~
