First off hugs. Your one night stand can in no way humanly possible be the father if it was just 3 days ago. It takes 7-10 days for implantation to occur and then time for the HCG levels to double in order to accumulate enough to register positive on an HPT. :) I hope that puts your mind at ease. Good luck to you Hon. I hope things work out the way you want them to.

I agree with Lisa and Cindy, there is pretty much no way that the one nighter could be the father. Even though you and your b/f use condoms and the rythm method nothing is 100%. I got pregnant with twins when I was on the pill and my best friend just found out that she is pregnant with number three after her husband had been fixed for over a year. You only ovulate for three days, and so I think you got pregnant in December so it would just now be showing up. Also remember that you can have your period while you are pregnant.

If you are still worried about your b/f not being the father ask your ob/gyn if there are any paternity test you can do. Once you get your ultra sound than you will be more likely to find out when you concived. Good luck! I am sure everything will be fine.
