How do u know if areolas are darker?

Hi! I'm 10 dpo and only have one symptom(a little nausea..no vomit) I keep thinking I have sore bbs, but i think it's just my imagination. The only thing is my areolas, my skin is dark and I can't tell if they are getting darker or if my eyes are playing tricks on me. On my both bb's the 2 bumps on each side close to the nipple are bigger. On my right bb, the small bumps are getting bigger (I think!)but the left is not. The only hope I have in knowing before the wait is the dark areola test. Can someone please clue me in on how the look before and after.

Thanks a lot gals!

I know I shouldn't be here but I haven't had a complaint yet. I am 13 weeks pregnant and my areolas still have not become darker so it is probably not the most reliable sign of pregnancy although sore bb's are a very good indicator.

Hi girls. I have an 8 mo. old and ttc #2. With my daughter, the darkening of the areolas was very gradual. They started to get larger, bumpier, and darker. However, one pg sign that was more evident was the veins in my bbs were much more visible. In a nutshell, my chest, like many other PG women, looked like a road map. So...keep an eye out for blue veins showing up!! Good luck to you all. My AF is due tomorrow. Already taken 3 tests, all negative. I was really hoping they would come back positive for a great Father's day present. The wait is terrible!! Let me know what happens!

I have very fair skin, so the veins in my chest/bb area are ALWAYS very visible. How do I know the difference? Or does it really matter since there seem to be a gazillion symptoms and any of us could have all or none of them?? Also, what about the headache that won't go away? I've had one for a week, and NOTHING touches it. I even broke down and took Excedrin Migraine, which I didn't want to do because of possible risk to possible baby, but the headache was becoming debilitating. Still, it did not go away--only lessened in intensity SLIGHTLY!! I keep reading about headaches being yet another symptom. Is this good?? Help! I'm going crazy! Why didn't God set a concrete number of symptoms and make sure all women had them??? {{Smile.}} See what happens when a man gets involved in running the universe? {{Smile.}}

Whoo Hoo! Another symptom! Yes, I've noticed blue veins in my chest and breast area very much in the past week or so. I thought I was imagining things, but they are very noticeable. In addition, I've got a vein that is very noticeable from below my chest area going down towards my stomach...that wasn't there before either.

Two blood tests and still negative results though, waiting for an ultrasound! My body can't lie, at least I hope its not lying to me...so we'll wait to see what the ultrasould would say. According to my calculations I'd be 7 weeks by now, and I have to wait until June 27th for my ultrasound.

:0)

OMG!! You must be going bananas waiting until the 27th!! I mean, I'm testing again Friday if AF doesn't arrive, and I can barely stand it. My heart is racing constantly and I have non-stop butterflies in my stomach. I teach so I'm sitting around here all day with almost nothing to occupy my mind. (We've had almost nothing but rain since summer vacation started. Don't get me started on that!) So I can't imagine having to wait until the end of the month!! Good luck!!!!

Thanks all, I'm still confused. Seems like my bumps that I "saw" went down and bbs are only SLIGHTLY sore. (maybe because I keep touching and squeezing them?) Anyway, I'm waiting till the 20th as well to test. I tested too early(It was the second in the pack from last month) and got a BFN on the 14th...waaaaay to early. I haven't bought anymore tests so I won't be tempted. By the way, is sneezing and having a stuffy nose in the morning a symptom?

You know, I think I need to quit reading all these posts because I just keep confusing myself even more. It seems like EVERYTHING can be a possible symptom!! Like you, though, the "strong" symptoms I had last week have subsided this week, but I'm not giving up hope yet. It seems that pg. symptoms can come and go, so ...

How about sleeplessness?? Suddenly, I can't sleep at night (and I KNOW it isn't stress or diet). I'm awake every couple of hours,even after working outside all day over the weekend, and it's driving me crazy because the minute my eyes open, I'm convincing myself that the insomnia is preg.-related!! Gee whiz, men have it easy. I asked my dh the other evening if he thought we'd ever get pg., and he said, "Yes, but I don't think about it all the time." And I was like, "Of course not, you show up for the BD one week a month, and that's all you have to do!!" The woman, on the other hand, has to be tuned in to her body 24/7, which naturally makes us think about potential pregnancy ALL THE TIME!!!

Sorry, I don't usually vent like this, but waiting until Fri. or for AF is really driving me bonkers!!!!!!!
