how early can you tell after IUI

hi everyone!

I just had an IUI 4 days ago... There were 3 eggs that dropped so there is the likelihood of twins or even triplets. Since that time my breasts have been starting to feel sore, and it felt like I was going to get my period. I also have noticed that I've been really thirsty (not sure if that's a sign or not). I think it's too early to start experiencing any symptoms, but these things are happening - is it more of a 'wishful thinking' or could it actually be real pregnancy signs? I heard that if you're pregnant with more than one the symptoms can appear earlier, but isn't this still too soon?

Thanks for your imput!

It may be a bit early to have the symptoms, but some swear they feel them just days after conception. I had twins, and I don't know about ealier...but when you get symptoms you'll know it for sure....everything was double compared to my first pregnancy, though I never vomited I had the worst morning sickness, I was sick 24 hours a day, and my back hurt so bad right in the beginning...and just everything, it really was double what I had with my first. So i'm sure you will know soon enough.

I had my IUI in July and felt a lot of the pregnancy symptoms but ended up not being pregnant. Hopefully that is not the case with you but if you took the Hcg shots you may feel the symptoms because of that. That is the hormone that your body produces during pregnancy and the hormone that you test for with a HPT. That's also why they tell you shouldn't take a test until 14 day after the IUI. I can give you a false positive which is what it did when I took it.

The wait is horrible but keep busy and it may go a little faster if you're lucky! Good luck and hope you get a BFP!

ya, i never thought about that with the HCG shot. Thanks for bringing me 'back to reality'. Now it won't be such a shock if I find out that I'm not actually prego.

Have a good weekend,
