well, im 4 days late, and i feel like im PMSing (crying, sleepy, mild sore boobs, min cramps, just yucky feeling) Im debating on taking a home preg. test or wait. I thought i was pregant a few months ago and got my hopes up, I ended up not being pregant and I dont want to get my hopes up again. How soon did yall find out you were pregant after you missed, or period was late?

Hi!

I was 4 days late of my period when I took a home pregnancy test. I took it at 4pm in the afternoon. The reason I took it was due to these symptoms (sore boobs, a little nauseated, and I do Natural Family Planning and my tempeture had stayed high for about a week) I took the test and it came out very positive in the afternoon. I am now 8 weeks along going on 9 now.

My suggestion is to not worry and just relax. If you are really feeling icky go ahead and try a pregnancy test. I would suggest taking it later in the day rather than morning. Because if you really are pregnant the hormones in your body for the test to detect preganancy will be there later in the day.

Hope this helps.

I found out after being seven days late. I took a HPT in the afternoon at 4 days late and it came back negative. Was a bit disappointed but really more worried about what the heck could be wrong with me! A few days later, I thought I'd give it another go and this time followed the packaging recommendations to take the test first thing in the morning. Apparently, this is the longest time between urinating so it gives ample time for the hormone to build up. Sure enough, I got a positive result in less than a minute! If your evening test comes up negative but you still have the same symptoms a few days later, try again first thing in the morning. Good Luck!

I would wait 2 weeks and then take one because if u are the hormones might not be enough to come out possitive. with my son I got a possitive 1 week after my missed period, with my daughter I didnt even test until I was 2 and 1/2 months because I was spotting so I didnt think I was. With this one the test came out possitive 1 week after my missed period. I hope I am of some help to u. U could also try the early pregnancy tests. but I have always been sceptical of those, but it is ur oppinion that matters on that. I always use ept. It hasnt failed me yet.

i knew the day after my period didn't come. I am very regular and the day after it did not come when it was supposed to I went to the store and bought 2 pregnancy tests and then went to the dr. for a third and they all came back positive. I am now 14 weeks. Go take a test because either way you are going to get something out of it. What do you have to lose?

I am 12 weeks into my fourth child and I knew right off the bat with the last two. I will add a little skepticism to this though. With the last two I took 10 home tests between the two different times up til I was 2 months along and they all came back negative. I tried every kind of pregnancy test there was and at morning and at night. I really think it depends on the person. If you really fell like you are pregnant, go to the doctor and get a blood test. I haven't seen a false one of those yet. Good Luck.

Well I didn't realize until everyone else around me had. But once I found out (by taking a test) and we figured out the dates. It turned out that I had actually been extremely tired and already feeling nauseous by the first week after conception....so the signs can start early; I was just in denial.

My pregnancy test was positive 2 days before my period was due. I chart my cycles, and I had planned to wait 2 weeks after ovulation before I tested. On the day I tested (7 days after ovulation), I was convinced that I was pregnant or in need of medical attention! I was so nauseous, lightheadded and dizzy. I had been ignoring the sore boobs for a couple of days. Well, there was no ignoring the positive on the pregancy test.

Good luck to you.
