hpt lines still light/beta hcg worry

hi everyone,

my cycles typically run 28-30 days and sometimes vary as well. i think i o'd around the 3rd or 4th of august and if i went by the thirty day rule then my period isn't due until tomorrow. on monday i took a first response hpt and got a faint line, tuesday i tested again (i am obsessed) and the line was still faint. i called my doctor and went in on tuesday at lunch and had them run a beta qualitative hcg. i picked up the results a few hours later and it showed i had a beta of 34. i took another hpt this morning (i am crazy) and the line was still faint. (i was pregnant awhile back and had a m/c and had worried that my numbers won't double). i am having another beta tomorrow but i just can't seem to shake this bad feeling that it will be another m/c. if anything i can rest assured that i have supported the first response company. i keep thinking that oh, what if this should have been a 28 day cycle and the worst scenario...

ok, i am babbling. sorry and thanks for any help.

Kelli, I stuggled whether to write to you or not, but I thought to myself, I would like to know all possibilities. I had the same thing happen to me last month. I was late for AF but kept getting negative hpt's. I then started what I thought was my AF but it was very spotty. When it ended, I took another test because I was still having symptoms. I got a positive. I then called my doc and they told me to come in for a Beta HcG. My numbers were also low, 37.5. They told me something was going on but my numbers were low (too low for my stage of pg) so to come back in 48 hours and test again. I did, and my numbers went down instead of up (hcg 11). They said that I probably had already m/c (I was 5.5 weeks). It was upsetting obviously, but I'm glad that it happened early instead of later. And, I think to myself, there was a reason for it, the baby wasn't healthy. It was for the best. (You tell yourself anything to make youself feel better). Anyway, your story sounds very famililar except you haven't been bleeding, which could be a positive thing. I don't want to upset you, but I thought that maybe you should be prepared just in case. I really hope that it's not the case and you will see your numbers double. Good luck and let me know how things go. I will send lot of sticky vibes your way.

Kelli, if your AF isn't due until tomorrow your levels may not be that low. I just saw a post not too long ago about where your levels should be. They also said don't be so concerned with the number but with whether it's increasing or not. I don't want to give false hope, but I think there's hope still there. I was thinking you were already late for AF. Implantation could have happened later than you thought too. I'll post the levels soon as I can find them.
