I don't know what to think!

Hey Everyone. I hope someone could help me. Sorry if this story is long, but I want the best opinions that I can get!

I have never really had unregular periods. I haven't had my last period since the beginning of December though. Since I had never been unregular before when I was just a week late I started to get worried, but I waited until 2 weeks to take a test. I didn't want to spend that much money on the test so I just got the walmart brand. The first test I took came back with no results so I assumed it was a dud and went back to walmart and bought 2 more off brand tests. I took one that night and it was negative. Then I took the other one the next afternoon and it was also negative.

This made me feel MUCH better. I thought now that I wasn't worried about it my period would come in no time.

Today is 2 weeks and 2 days from taking the offbrand tests. This puts me at 4 - 5 weeks late. I was starting to doubt my first 2 pregnancy tests.

I have heard of a few people on these boards of having BFNs long after AF is due. But it could be something else. I would go see your regular doctor as soon as you can if you can't get in to see your gyno. Stress or a lack or iron could be the cause of your tiredness. Also if you are convinced you are pregnant your body could be fooled into thinking it is. Good luck and keep us updated.

Hey! Firsts, thanks for the quick reponse. I'm totally new to this whole thing so can you tell me what things stand for? Like the AF and the BFN? Sorry :-/

Yes I have heard about the mind kind of tricking the body with false pregnancy symptoms. Which is why i took the first test to ease my mind, which it did until 2 weeks later! :-(

Ok sorry for this question too, but I made an appointment with my normal gyno other then that I just go to the campus nurse (she can write prescriptions) since I got to a christian school.... going there for this reason is kinda out of the question. Can I just go to any doctor around here and just say whats going on? Like the same type of Dr I would go to for a cold?

You can go to planned parenthood for a pregnancy test.

I took another accu-clear this morning and it was negative. I had more of the heavy discharge today. I seriously felt it and got really excited went to the bathroom really quick thinking it was my period, but then nope no period.

I might go to the Planned Parenthood this weekend for some reason it just makes me nervous going there.

Hugs Hon. First off, there are quite a few people on here that never got a BFP (big fat positive) and are definitely pregnant. Planned Parenthood will only do another urine test. You may want to see about having a blood test drawn. More accurate. I'm glad you have the appointment scheduled as you definitely need to be checked out. Keep us posted.

Hey, you're situation sounds almost EXACTLY like mine!! My period was between two and three weeks late but I finally got it today. If you're on a college campus (you said college classes were starting) I would recommend going to whatever student health center is available on campus. I went to the one at my school, and they used a urine test (like the one I had used and gotten a negative with) but it made me feel better about the results, because they are professionals. The lady who counseled me told me stress can do CRAZY things to your body, so with a new job and classes and constant worrying over whether or not you're pregnant, your body could have been thrown out of whack. They say those tests are pretty accurate, and since you took so many, odds are, a negative is a negative. I read about some people on here getting negative tests and still being pregnant, but I don't know how often that really happens.

Anyway, missing a period always warrants seeing a doctor, so it's good you made the appointment. I would try out planned parenthood or a campus health service for quicker results, though. Good luck!!
