Well--here's my situation.

I'm 23 years old, and my period is...a week and three days late, which is odd because I'm never late. My cycle days are 28-29, and they seem to rarely be affected by anything. Birth control pills, inordinate stress, working and living with women--nothing seems to stop my AF. Until now it is.

I was on the pill, but I got off because I lost my job (yay layoffs---NOT!) and this is my second month off, and that period was right on time. My partner and I have been using the withdrawal method. And of course you probably see the layoff and think BAM stress, but that happened before the LAST normal period and I have since found a job.

I didn't realize my period was that late until three days ago when I bought a new planner and was checking that sort of thing out, and so I went out and got a test. A ClearBlue digital bad boy, and it came back NEGATIVE.

However, three days later, and still no AF. Today, my nipples are kinda tender and I'm having mild cramping that feels kind of sharp, which feels like just a sort of amplification of normal. I seem to have gained a dress size in water weight, which shouldn't happen since I cry at the drop of a hat and I can't seem to go too far from a bathroom if I wish to have a drink.

Could I be experiencing a false negative? Or maybe because I took the test later in the evening and I have been peeing all the time I'll be experiencing that? I am so lost and I have no idea what to do or where to go? I'm currently between insurance coverage so an office visit with my usual PCP is out of the question.

Hmm you do seem to have some of the normal pregnancy symptoms - the most obvious one is usually the sore breasts. Are you experiencing pain in your whole breast or just the nipples? The

Definitely try FMU and maybe even wait a few more days if at all possible and see what you get than. Your body could also still be getting used to being off the pill. I know with me when I got off, my cycle didn't sync up to normal for about 3 months afterwards. I'm sorry to hear about all the stress and wondering. Good Luck!

I would say nipple area. Not just the nipple but it's more of the surrounding issue.

And the whole off the pill thing sounds plausible except this is supposed to be 2nd cycle off.

My sister just had a baby and she said that with her pregnancy she didn't get a positive until 9th week, which freaks me out. Also, one of my fears is ending up like those ladies on "I Didn't Know I Was Pregnant" or something. Which isn't really on topic, but a valid fear nonetheless.

Thanks guys, I think I'll test on Friday which is like 2 weeks late. This is all so bizarre to me! I have literally never been more than a day or two late, so regular even from day one. Not only that...well, you know...
