Hello Ladies! First i would like to say Congrats to all mommies, and mommies to be. Also, good luck to all mommy hopefuls!

Secondly, I'm new here and just wondering if someone could help me out with the abbreviations being used in these discussions.

Now here is my problem, My husband passed away on August 29th 2003. We have a 15 month old son. About the second week in October my ex came over and "comforted" me a few times.

My period should have startes November first and it hasn't come yet. 8 days late so far

I've had the typical symptons (nausea, dizziness, headaches, fatigue, acne, hemmoroids)

The reason i'm questionning these symptoms is because it took my husand and I 5 years to conceive our son. Would it actually be that easy to conceive again just having sex twice. (by the way, i'm 28) Do you guys think I have anything to worry about??? Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks

wow, that's horrible! if i might ask, was your husband's death unexpected?

but onto your question, scientifically speaking, mix the right uterine environment, one egg, one sperm, and some luck and out comes a baby! so yes, it is possible. you could have only had sex once and it would be possible. were there fertility problems involved before? if not, all i can say is chance. if two people with average fertility have sex during the woman's most fertil time, there's about a 25% chance of her getting pregnant. i think a lot of it has to do with fate, or what is supposed to happen. no matter what someone does, they'll get pregnant when they're supposed to, and that's only when. good luck!

My husbands death was not unexpected. We knew he had cancer and was in the end stages.

No we didnt have fertility problems but it was just so hard to get pregnant with our son.

I guess I'll be patient and wait to see if I start. (hopefully I will)

I will keep you guys posted

I am sorry to hear about your husband.

I found the abbreviation list; go to the search bar and type "abbreviations" (that was the fastest, and easiest, way to do it).

I think it depends on the fertility of the male. For instance, my sister is having a hard time conceiving because her husband is diabetic. There can be a lot of factors that go into male fertility. So I guess it could be possible that you could conceive, even after it happening only twice. Best of luck to you..
