Intense Cramping

Okay, before I went on the pill, when I was a teenager, I used to get really intense periods. Heavy flow, really sharp cramps. I'd have to stay home from school. When I was 16 I went on the pill.

Well, my husband and I started trying for a baby about a month ago, and I went off the pill at the same time. I am having all the classic signs of being pregnant, including darkening of my nipples and today I accidently even squeezed out some clear to white liquid (could it be milk this soon?) Anyway, I have had severe cramping only once or twice since I have thought I was pregnant. They aren't strange cramps, they are identical to what I used to get when I wasn't on the pill as a younger girl. Is it possible that my body is just reverting back? Because I did also have the light menstral like cramping at the time I would have been conceiving (if I am pregnant) and it was very mild.

A friend of mine told me that severe cramping can also signal a miscarriage. But, doesn't a miscarriage result in a period, because your body is disposing of the embryo? I haven't experienced this, and I haven't had bad cramping in about six days. My symtoms are continuing, and becoming more obvious.

I took a test this morning, which came back negative. I'm not even suppose to test until next week really, but I'm antsy. So, is it possible my body is just reverting back to it's old patterns?

When I was pregnant with my 1st child I also squeezed out a clearish-white liquid.. I dont remember how far along I was.. but I do know it wasnt that far.. So you very well may be pregnant.. Why dont you wait a week and then test again..if its still negative and you still have symptoms I would call your doctor and ask them to test you..with a blood test..especially if you are still having alot of bad cramping..

I know that when you come off the pill your body does need to re-adjust but I have never heard of the liquid without being pregnant.. I dont know what that would be if you arent pregnant.. I have heard alot of ppl talkin about the First Response Early test.. I have never used one so I dont know how well they work.. you could always try one of those too.. Good luck to you.. let us know how it turns out!!

Its possible to be pregnant, some get pregnant right away after being on the pill, others take time to adjust. And its common that you will get pregnancy type symtoms when you body is adjusting itself after being on the pill. It also is possible to get a fluid from your breats when not pregnant, I experienced this for a few months once, when I was having some horrible PMS for awhile, every month I felt pregnant, and never was. So between your body changing, possible PMS...and everything else, our bodys are strange, you very well could be pregnant, but also not. Only time will tell, and I know thats the hardest part. I would just wait for AF to show...or hopefully not show. Or wait at least that extra week before you test again. It may be possible to test early and get results, but anytime your testing early and get a negative, you know your going to likely have to test again anyways....So if you don't mind the money, you can always try again, and hope for an early positive, but its so stressful I would just wait on it.
