With my daughter I was 18 days late and had gotten 4 or 5 negatives before I finally had a positive test. Confused the hell out of my doctor and there was a lot of confusion about when I was due. But approximately 40 weeks after my last period I was holding a baby girl in my arms, despite having been told repeatedly by my doc that I was just making myself more late because I thought I was pregnant and was stressing. So it's possible. I'm given to understand that my case was unusual though. Good luck. I hope that you find out soon.

Yeah, I'm given to understand that these things vary. I think some women just excrete the hormones in lesser quantities than others. I got a VERY faint positive yesterday on the generic brand of first response, but I am not due to start until the 19th. I am hoping it wasn't just a fluke. I'm going to try testing again later today. I tried this morning, but it had only been a few hours in between and the result was pretty much the same. There was a definite 2nd line, but it was barely visible. It would be odd for me to test positive so soon, but maybe since this would be my 2nd, my body already has practice with the hcg and is making more of it this time? I don't know, but I'll find out in about 5 days or so anyway. I'm sure that if things are late this time I must be. I've got all of the symptoms, and many of them are worse than they were with my daughter (especially the nauseousness and dizziness). Good luck on finding out. It sucks having to wait so long to be seen by the doctor, but at least that will give your body a chance to make more hormones if you are, so maybe it will be easier to find out what's going on. Waiting is the hardest part of all this, no matter what you're hoping is the outcome.

I'm a day away from when I should be starting my period and I used "Early Response" at-home pregnancy test and tested negative both thursday and friday.

I love you, Eliott James Nacotee
