I am about to go out of my mind here. I could swear that I'm pregnant, but I just took another HPT today (mid-day) and got another BFN! This makes 2 so far, yet, I have had 3 positive OPKs... I'm really upset right now, I honestly thought that this was it, I am finally pregnant. But according to the HPT, I'm not. I bought 'Answer' and I'm not too crazy about that test, I think I read something where a women used it, and always got a BFN, but when she used another, she would get a BFP. Is it possible that this is my case too? I've been feeling preggy all week long, I've been cramping slightly, my period only lasted 2 days this time, not typical for me, heartburn, indigestion, moody, sleepy, but then insomnia, nauseated, weight gain, bloatedness, excess saliva, bad headaches... the list goes on!! What do I do?? :( I have one more test I think I'll take Sunday morning with FMU, but if it's negative, I think my heart's going to break. I've been having bizarre dreams too, which I know alot of pregnant women do, I rarely dream, or at least I do not remember them. What about the OPKs? Why would I get 2 blue lines on each of them? I can't be ovulating right now could I, and have symptoms like this? What was the 'period' that I had? I thought it was implantation bleeding and have waited all week to buy a HPT to see... I'm so upset right now, this is the one thing in the world I've ever really wanted. Someone please tell me that there is still hope, that this has happened to you, maybe it's still too early? But I keep going back to the OPKs.......

Lauren - Sorry I haven't been keeping up with your story. What is your cycle, when did you last O? Maybe you tested too early?

Mockumba-

I don't know when I O'd... I started what I thought was my period on the 5th, and come the 7th, she was gone. That's not normal for me, I usually go a week. Since then, I've had alot of symptoms, (cramping, nausea, to name some major ones) 2 BFNs, but 3 positive OPKs... <-- those have me confused now tho, they shouldn't come up with 2 lines if it didn't detect something right?? My cycle is usually about 30-31 days I think, I normally start on the same date every month, so almost a full month apart... Is it really possible to have all these symptoms, but not have enuf HCG to have a +ive HPT? It just confuses me that if I'm feeling like I do, then a test should pick it up, don't you think? I am going out of my mind on this! :/

Thanx for posting back,

Lauren

Its l=time to get a first response test, i have heard so amny good thing about them.If thats negative you should go to your doctor and get blood work done.Is AF late yet, it must be as you said you thought your 5 weeks right?. I had a ovarian cyst 2 months ago that gave e pregnancy sympton no AF for 3 weeks, sick on and off, cramps.I thought for sure i was pregnant but it was the cyst that was doing it.

Hi Lauren,

Forgive me if you know this, but the OPKs that I have used, come up with two lines, the trick is for the test line to be darker than the other to detect your surge. The times you tested, was the test one darker?

Thanks Julie... I used First Response last time I was PG, I M/C tho.... and I bought the Answer because it was a little cheaper... I wish I hadn't done that now. I sure hope I don't have a cyst, I'm getting worried now!

The OPKs were all about the same color, I think one was darker tho. They come up with 2 lines all the time? I used one last year and only got one line... that's why I was so confused when I had 2 lines on these. I took the 3 over 2 days, and the last one was darker then the others had been... *sigh*

Maybe this will help you feel better. One of my very best friends was actually 4 months pregnant before she got a positive resule on an HPT. She was actually getting a very light period as well. (1 or 2 days of light bleeding) If she could be 4 months prego and not produce enough hormone it is very possible for you too.

The worst part is waiting for those 2 lines on the HPT. I do know from other posts that if you are using an OPK the test line needs to be if just as dark if not darker than the control line.

Hope this helps. Good Luck!

I agree, with my first two kids I NEVER had a positive HPT. I tried again and again with my son and nothing until I took a blood test. However, I did just get my very first positive on a HPT about two hours ago! Woo hoo. It was the First Response Early Detector Test. It was more expensive than the others however, it had two tests in the box instead of one so they were actually cheaper. I got it at Wal-Mart. Good luck. Waiting is brutal. Just call the doc and find out. I've done that twice and had negatives. I thought I'd never actually have a postive. I'm still shocked. I'm having blood work Monday to confirm. Best best best wishes to you!

I had a friend in High School, our senior year she started having some problems and the doctor said it was her kidneys. At one point the pain got so bad from her "kidneys" she went into the hospital..but came out with a baby girl. She was pregnant the whole 9 months, had her period the entire time. Even had a couple of tests done in the early stages so they ruled pregnancy out, especially since she is one of those little tiny girls..almost too tiny and never really gained any weight. The baby was lined up square between her shoulders and hips so her stomach never poked out at any point during the pregnancy. It was quite a shock to all of us to find out that her "kidney problem" turned out to be a baby girl.

Just a little story I thought I would share.

Good luck I hope for the best for all of you
