I just posted above about my previous laporscopy. The procedure is a very minor one in itself, but I didn't have to have any scar tissue or anything removed. I was able to go home a few hours after surgury. My hosp. wanted to make sure I could go to the bathroom (just pee!) and keep something down which was a sprite. Afterwards when I first woke in recovery, I felt sooooo tired. Like you're awake, but still really out of it. Then after I forced myself to drink the sprite (I really wanted to go home!) I made it home but I got sick and threw up from drinking it. After that I was fine. The pain is definately there from the incisions, but it's tolerable, especially w/ meds. I had two very small incisions, one almost in my belly button, and one in your pubic area. They fill you with gas and the gas makes you feel very bloated and big for several days (for me it was almost 2 weeks). So make sure you where roomy clothing to the hosp. or bring it with you to come home in. Overall I think the worst part was just not being able to eat or drink in the morning before my procedure. It really wasn't bad at all. I think getting my wisdom teeth out was way worse than this. However for the first few nights it is extremely hard to get comfy in bed cuz believe me, you don't want to lay on your stomach or move to much after that.
