I'd appreciate thoughts/input because ya'll seem to have good thoughts on this subject.

I'm day 45 and no period. It's been at least 3 years since I went past day 35. Had sex with condom on projected ovulation days and no breakage or incidents, but of course a

Hi there,

Are you still waiting for your period to show? If so, and if it were me, I'd probably want to go in for blood test. Especially considering the fact that the HPTs in your country aren't of good quality, a blood test will at least give you some kind of peace of mind.

Wishing you the very best of luck- please keep us posted!

It seems to me that the likely hood of you being pregnant is very small. I would say if AF is not here yet going in for a blood test will ease your mind though and it might be worth it. I would also suggest you look into doing fertility charting. This might give you more of a piece of mind about your fertility. It would help you to get to know your body, see when you are fertile and when you ovulate. I chart now to TTC but for years I did it to avoid pregnancy and to get to know my body. It was one of the best things I ever did for myself about my body.

Thanks! I actually do chart...everything except temperature cause I can't get in a habit of that. I usually avoid sex or use a spermicide sponge as additional protection along with a condom when I am ovulating but since I was traveling last month we skipped it and thus my additional worry.

Got a blood test today and it was negative. I'm on day 50 with no AF so I guess there is just some other reason I am skipping. Trying to not let any lingering worry because I know blood tests are pretty

That's great :) Temping is really a big part of it too. I know what you mean about 'getting in the habit'. What I do is keep my Basal Body Thermometer right next to my bed and right when I first wake up I temp vaginally. It is the only way I remember and honestly it is the most accurate temp you can get.
Keep us updated on what happens....

On day 45 (no AF) I had a blood test that was negative. It was quantitative and showed NO Hcg.
