Light spotting ovulation pregnancy after childbirth

My wife and I had a baby 10 weeks ago.  We breastfeed exclusively and don't use birth control because were catholic and happily so.  Here's the back ground:

Early March my wife lightly spotted for 3 days.  Just out of curiousity I went to a website and put in my wifes old dates for period length in this case 31 days.  It showed the likelyhood of ovulation between the 17th and 22nd of March.  My wife was in the mood around that time and we made love.  Now, fast forward to 31 March my wife ran to the bath room and had a clear watery discharge.   As we just had our baby a few weeks ago  I figured ovulation wouldn't actually kick in for a few months thus no period.  So anyone have any idea what the clear watery discharge could be a sign of?

Hi there,

I wish I had an answer for you but truth is that it is hard to tell what could be going on.  Breastfeeding can really change up a woman's cycle.  Some ladies don't even have their period for many months (even a year or more...), so it really depends on the woman.  However, pregnancy is obviously also an option if you have had unprotected sex.  I would suggest she take a home pregnancy test just to see if pregnancy is a possibility at this point.  Best of luck and please keep us posted!
