Hello, I have been reading a lot of other people’s posts, but finally decided to ask for some one else’s opinion about what I’m going through.
I am on BC and have been for almost a year. I am very good at taking it and haven’t missed one, I take them generally at the same time each day, give or take an hour to an hour and a half. Anyhow, AF was due today and I am waiting for it come….I now that it is still a little early to start worrying that it is late, but that is just one thing. About a week ago I was dealing with extremely sore breasts, and a very upset stomach, I have had the feeling of needing to throw up come and go all week long. And then there is the cramping, it feels like the ones before AF(but that normally only lasts the day before and the first day of AF, not a week). I have been extremely sleepy for about a week and I find that I have to go to the bathroom often, and it is driving me crazy that every time that I stand up I have to too. About two days ago my lower back started to hurt, it is hurting me so bad at this point, that I have been having to sleep will a pillow under my back just so that I can sleep. Both my husband and I have been worrying a little because we just got married and we haven’t even gotten our thank you cards out.
If I could get some of your thoughts about this that would be wonderful…..I maybe be worrying for no reason at all....
Thank you,
Nicole

Nicole,
First of all it sounds like you are very careful about taking your BC everyday at the same time. BCP are 99% effective so it is unlikely that you are pregnant. I am concerned about the fact that you need to go to the bathroom so often and that you have an upset stomach. Both of these can be signs of either bladder infection or kidney infection. The backache makes me think that it might be a kidney infection. You should probably make an appt. to see your doctor. They would also be able to do a blood test to see if you are pregnant. If you want an immediate answer I know that they do have baldder infection tests at the drug store so you could take a home test to see if that is it but I would still make an appt. to see your doc. I hope that this helps. Take care.
