Hm, well first of all, they may not do an ultrasound unless you're definitely pregnant. And if they do, at 6 weeks, you maaaay be able to see a speck, but I'm not positive. Here are a couple of

Hi, I just wanted to give my 2 cents....
With my 3rd child I didn't know when I got pregnant (he was not planned), so I told my doctor I had no idea how far along I was, etc....So she ordered an ultrasound for me. I had a vaginal ultrasound and it said I was 6 weeks pregnant and the "baby" at that time looked like Mr. Peanut. It was basically a blob. Barely visible. So, If you don't know if your pregnant and blood test/urine test confirms that you are, your doctor may schedule an ultrasound for you to determine how far along you are. Good luck and I hope everything works out for you.
I think you should ask for a blood test. If you got one positive, and others that are negative, then a blood test will tell you for sure if you are pregnant or not. Also, if you're not sure if that positive test was in fact a positive, I recommend this site. She has a lot of great info and photos of all types of pregnancy tests:

Just scroll down until you see the brand you took and if you can, click on it. She should have photos of true positives, negatives, and evaporation lines.
