In Sept of 2006, I moved to the UK to pursue my MA. I left behind a wonderful boyfriend that I love dearly. Within a week of getting here, I got sick- the flu, of course. I felt somewhat better but a few weeks later was sick again. I started gaining weight, didn't fit into any of my clothes. I was eating a lot of pub food. Then I had a financial crisis and didn't have much money for food so I lost some weight, slept through my xmas break. After all I was stressed from school. I noticed later that though I didn't eat much and lost a lot of weight, I still couldn't fit into some of my clothes. I'm 28, I assume taking off weight isn't as easy as it was five years ago. I've had my periods but since I've gotten here I've had shorter periods with very dark blood. Still painful as always. For the past two or three cycles I've noticed slight cramping between periods. Pretty much all the time. Not in any particular spot but all over. And for the past two weeks I've been incredibly enotional. I cry at everything. But I've also noticed I have this belly on me and it's tender. And I feel like I have gas all the time along with these sudden cramps or twinges of pain all over my abdomen. Is it possible I could be pregnant and not know about it? I haven't had sex since Sept 16th. I was with my ex-husband for nine years and we could never conceive. My boyfriend and I always used protection. Should I be worried about this? Could it be something else wrong with me? Should I take a pregnancy test or go to a doctor> I'd appreciate any advise you can give. Thanks.

I would do both. SOme women can stil get periods and be PG at the same time. It could also signal a more serious problem. Some of you symptoms follow thyroid problems. The best thing to do is go to the DR and get checked out. If you are with child
